Seen any good HiME AMVs? Have some ideas for your own HiME AMV?
Discuss and share with everyone here about songs, scenes, and anything else that would make an excellent HiME AMV or just aspects of an AMV you liked.
By the way, if you're looking for a good AMV source, I highly suggest checking out:

To start things off, here is my original message from the Random Hangout thread: ShinSeiki Yesterday, there was a little Anime Day thing at the Arlington Mall and I saw an AMV of teh HiMEness with the song "Black Dragon" by Luca Trulli(sp?). You can clearly tell who the star of this AMV was wink It was serious but I found it hilarious as the AMV showed Mai all uber pissed when the chorus hit 'Looostt in the fiiire; the fiiire of hate'. Ah I love it. But, an AMV all about Kagutsuchi? Greatness. Anywho, my searches online for it have been fruitless, so if any of you stumble upon it, please alert everyone eek

Most of the other places I look for are shoddy or close down after a few months.
Well, lucky me, I'll be able to watch them all xd

Hm..I think Evanescence's Bring Me to Life and Going Under songs are good for HiME AMVs. I think they go well with the series and the plot. I think even Kryptonite would go good with it, and maybe even breaking the Habit by linkin park.

I've always thought that Mezame from the Mai HiME sound track (OST1) would work really well for an AMV. Looking at the link I see there is one, even if it's only an experimental AMV. I'll have to check it out to see if it's good anyways. Even though he notes that it's music from the series itself, I have to say that's not so bad since the sound track has thus far been my favorite. smile

How does one download/view the AMV? I'm clueless.
Also, how does one make them? I have the urge to make one using the Rasputina cover of "Bad Moon Rising", which is just too perfect for the series, don't you think?

You have to get an account at AMV.org (it's well worth the free registration) then you just click at the bottom where it has the download and you'll be brought to a page where you get a download. Making them is difficult as hell, there's a guide on the amv site on how to do it. You have to use a video editing program, most of which good ones cost a good amount and can be hard to use. Plus you don't want to use subtitled episodes for sources because subtitles on videos are bad. I've only made one, and it was a peice of crap and took forever : D I'd love to hear that song tho. *_*

Pioupiou's Materialize was quite well made as well.
If you have never made an AMV before I suggest that just for the first one you create a basic AMV in a program like Windows Movie Maker. They usually suck, 'cause the program doesn't give you a lot of options but at least it gets you used to thinking about timing of clips, changeovers and music and is easy to use.
