that's a good question... you know has it ever been mentioned in the manga... all it ever says is that he's the youngest to achieve Captain... and how much younger he is then everyone else...

Rukia said she was about 10x older than what he is and Rukia is about the same age as hinamori you'd have to subtrack maybe 3-7 year for the captains age
