okay. this is stranger than strange town... the (water for the lakes)in my game is red! thats right! when you play, it flashes! whats up with that?

ooh, I've heard of some people having that happen to them. and when I do a search for it on the bbs, there's all sorts of things people come up with for why it happens. but I saw a simmaster reply to one saying it was most likely due to video card driver issues and should be resolved once the drivers are updated.

Perhaps....but maybe your lakes are actually filled with blood, and maxis is heralding the coming of a new sim?

lol i think its cherry jelly lava.
thats why whenever i use it on a lot, i make sure it has smoke rising from it using the spiffy effects

common issue. please make sure your video card drivers are up to date. You can usually find the update on the manufacturer's website.

it's definately the drivers... mine was doing that when we fisrt put it on the computer. If updating your drivers doesn't fix it, then you probably need a better graphics card all together.

well... you would think with a sim forum that would be a touchy subject anyway... (banning people for not posting often) cause we all know how it is sometimes... you get on the computer and you just somehow automatically end up on the sims... you don't remember pushing the icon, but then you look up and 6 hours have passed and MAN I need to get to sleep! So I would imagine that if someone stops posting for a while... they might have just gone into a massive sim-playing kick. I do that sometimes. smile

I don't want to be the type of guild owner who bans members for inactivity. -_- that was another thing that bothered me about the other sims guild. I guess that since I'm older, with a family and until recently, a job, I realize that you can't be online all the time to make silly posts in a guild about a game just to let the owner think you're devoted.
besides, like amanda said, I don't even remember clicking on the icon sometimes and man, building houses is so fun I don't even feel the time go by. 4laugh
