It seems to be that an artist who you don't like as a person, or as a group, will come out with at least one good song. Then, when you confess to liking it, a glob of fangirls/boys will attack you for not liking them and liking the song. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that? Like, I personally can't stand Christina Aguilera, but her new music is fantastic. Then again, I'm strange.

I understand completely! Jude Law is an absolute b*****d but I love his movies and I think he's really attractive!
Justin Timberlake embodies everything I consider evil but he was absolutely cracking me up on Saturday Night Live.
Russel Crowe seems like a big jerk but he is a really good actor! So whenever I watch Master and Commander my friends mock me.

@Psmith: I freaking love Jude Law 'cause he's hot but he's also an a**. :[ So friends of mine tell me I have no morals.
Lately I actually kinda liked that one Justin Timberlake song and then he was hilarious on Saturday Night Live so I wasn't sure what to feel anymore. ;__;
But I can't seem to think of anything else..

What if you hate the main character of a book but actually end up liking the book anyway. Because, Sara Douglas writes books where you could kill off the main character and not care even a little bit.

Billy Corgan is a conceited a**, but I love Smashing Pumpkins. I've learned not to read too many interviews with people I like, since they usually only make me angry.

I freaking hate Tyson Ritter, but I love his voice. I think Lindsay Lohan is total trash, but I love her movies, and she cracks me up in interviews. Same with Jenny McCarthey and Tara Reid.

I like his music, but he as a person isn't high on my list. =/

It personally annoys me when someone says they don't like a person's art/product/whatever because they don't like the person themself. Generally, what the person is like has nothing to do with the quality of their art. So, I think the art should be evaluated completely separately from the person.

Agreed. That's how I evaluate all of the music I listen to. It could be someone that completely drives me up the wall, but if I like the music, I'll listen in even still. I can't say I have been as good with that separation when it comes to movies since my dislikes for certain actors has occasionally stopped me from viewing particular movies, but I listen to more music than I watch movies anyway, so...it evens itself out. Malea Botor So, I think the art should be evaluated completely separately from the person.

I don't really like BoA.
She always gets it HER way in SM and she's greedy. I don't like how she said in one article that JaeJoong is her best friend from Korea. She wears heels that are like, six inches to make her taller. Aish...
But I love her voice and music. She's pretty too. She's funny too in interviews. But, ai! She doesn't hasn't gone to any of the dream concerts and she's not going to the SMTown 2007 Concert! What on earth is she doing?

THis isn't abook or movie or anything, but I absolutely hate with a passion abercrombie and hollister and american eagle (notive i didn't capitilze them twisted ) but sometimes I see there clothes and I'm like wow that's awesome! But then I see where it's from and grimace is disgust.

I really dislike the characters in Wuthering Heights, but I love the book..because I hate the characters so passionately! sweatdrop I hate Kiera Knightley, but I still love Pirates of the Caribbean.

I've never had that happen to me. if I have ever hated a character, its because they are a villain. But, I couldn't hate the actors because I don't know them. And their personalities as portrayed by tabloids is not plausible. And, I dont watch enough interviews to really know so...yeah...
