if you guys didnt know what Hitsugaya;s name means or looks like i n japanese... here it is!
日(hi):sun,A day
番(tsuga)(noun:tsuga-i,verb:tsuga-u):pair,couple
谷(ya)(tani):valley
冬(tou)(fuyu):winter
獅(shi)(shishi):lion
郎(rou):
im not japanese but i found this on the internet the other day.

All of those letters are chinese, not japanese. sweatdrop But japanese people use them and have a different meaning.

kyouko123 All of those letters are chinese, not japanese. sweatdrop But japanese people use them and have a different meaning. it's called Kanji... they are the chinese characters adopted by the japanese... and they mean the exact same thing in chinese that they mean in japanese... i.e. the symbol for person ('re' in chinese and 'hito' in japanese) both represented by what looks like an upside down V
