Is Yukina his twin or half-sister. Cause in the anime, she's his half-sister, but in the manga I think its different.

Hmm...Well...
Hiei and Yukina where bore at the same time, so technically they can be considered both half siblings and twins.
However, they may not be half siblings at all, as the hiyouki traits of Hiei’s father could just be recessive in Yukina due to her female genetics bring about the dominant characteristics of the Koormie; leavening her to appear a full-blooded ice maiden when she actually holds dormant fire demon genetics. Of course Hina could have asexually fertilized Yukina’s egg soon after/before/during the time in which Hiei’s father and she engaged in sexual intercourse there by fertilizing Hiei’s egg causing Hiei and Yukina's gestation periods to interplay ending up in their being born together; which would make them half siblings.
This little matter could be cleared up if it were not for Hiei’s flashbacks all being tinted in gray blue, as then we could see whether Ice Koormie eyes are typically red or blue which would explain Yukina’s genetic relation to Hiei.
It probably says somewhere that ice maddens have red eyes, which would blow most of this to hell, but I don’t really feel like looking that up right now, so yeah…
Personally I’d go with their being twins.

They are twins to put it simply. Because if you watch the DVD bandits and kings it explains a little better of what happened

yeah I was wondering about that. I think in volume six Hiei explains to Yusuke that he and Yukina have diffrent mothers or somthing like that, which confuses me me like heck. How is that possible? If they have diffrent mothers, wouldnt that mean they had to have the same father? And if thats so, shouldnt Yukina have been thrown off the island like Hiei? ahh confusion crying gonk

At the beginning of the series Hiei tells yusuke that yukina and him have different mothers, but in ep 99 and 100(I think) Hiei has flashbacks of his past and him and yukina have the same mother and were born at the same time, so I suppose that the writiers made a mistake, or Hiei was lying to yusuke as to make it seem that yukina and him weren't close.
I think either one is possible as a lot of things happen like that in other anime as well, the writers aren't perfect and I think Hiei would lie like that, he doesn't like to admit his feelings for anyone.

I would go with twins, since that is more widely accepted. (Considering more people have watched the anime than read the manga, that is understandable.) However, it does say in the manga that they are half-siblings, which can be proved somewhat by:
Hiei's father + Hina + reproduction = Hiei
Hina + asexual reproduction = Yukina
So I think they are both twins and half-siblings.

Personally I’d go with their being twins. Yesh... that makes sense. I also think they're both, because I've actually read up on it and they ARE twins, but they were seperated after like.... a few weeks or something like that. She (Hina) kept him hidden, but then her best friend found out and it went all over the island. And then you all know the rest. But I'm not sure about the whole 'half-sibling' thing. I think it's in how you look at it.

When Hiei said he was only Yukina's half brother, he lied. He's a liar. Why else would Hina (Hiei's mother) commit suicide a few days after Hiei's -er- banishment?
Hiei is also Yukina's twin, ferturnal twin since they look absoutly nothing like on another. stare
Also, do not mistake Yukina for being the younger of the two, they are the same age even though Hiei does seem more mature.

See? They share the same mother (Hina), but Yukina is due to natural asexual reproduction and Hiei has a father. 3nodding
Actually, we can't say for sure that they're fraternal twins. Demon reproduction may not work the same as human reproduction.
When people say Yukina's the younger of the two, I think they mean that Yukina's the younger twin, not a younger sibling.
