"There has to be somewhere..." she said softly, padding around, looking in bushes for hiding rabbits, peering around for any antelope that might be nearby. Kat was hungry, she was decent at hunting, but not the best when the food did not present itself outwardly. Stalking things wasn't her finest point. For she was so nervous and paranoid that another might sneak up on her. She was rather cautious all the time.
She stopped and sat down, ears searching for a noise, her tail flicking back and forth. Her tan pelt was accented by the sunlight, her hazel eyes gleaming somewhat in the warm rays that cascaded over her form. There had to be somewhere.
"Who would take me in though? Surely...surely there must be a place..." She wanted a home, a place to stay, she wanted friends that she wouldn't be scared to be around.

Dhar had left his mother again, he had done his job and escorted her to Nyunya, well the lands she lived it was upto her now.
The gray lion wasn't looking his best, he had found somewhere to rest where he was licking at his paws cleaning them a little, his black mane was dirty and he was in all rather thirsty, so without a moments thought he got up and headed to the nearest water hole, he needed a bath!
Finding the water he let his body sink below and rest in the water, that was untill he needed that air to keep his body going. He loved taking baths and his roars and grunts of appreciation could be heard. He wasn't an angry lion nor a harsh one, he was however tired and incredibly happy to be able to clean again.

Kat whipped around hearing a noise, sort of like a growl but not quite. It wasn't angry like 'I'm going to kill whatever comes near me,' she was very afraid of those sort of growls and roars. She got curious, folded her ears back and sank to the ground and started moving forward slowly.
She could hear splashing, water?! Her throat suddenly felt really dry. Her hazel eyes peaked from the leaves of a bush she hid inside, she didn't want to be seen just in case of danger. A male? Hmmm, she hadn't seen him before. He was taking a bath? She smiled, he didn't seem that dangerous, but she did still feel a bit nervous. Would he want to be approached? All these questions she ran through her head.
But she was thirsty.
Slowly she came out from the confines of the bush and padded to the side of the water hole, a few feet form him, in case he got angry, she could run away. The water on her tongue was so cool. she sighed in pleasure. It had been a while since she had cold water like this.

The lionesses appearance made him stop for a moment and look at her. She was pretty. The thought didn't stay in his head for long, he never wished to think of females as being pretty or beautiful not unless one was to be his mate, he never wished to use a female and the only way to stop it was to keep thoughts such as that away from his mind.
He sunk under the water a bit before getting out not too far from her and shaking letting the loose water droplets fly from his body and mane to anyone or thing around him. He then spent a while taming his mane again, flipping thing.
Once he was satisfied that he didn't look too horrible and wouldn't scare her off by his not so charming looks he wandered over, bowing his head as he neared her. "Hello there!" He smiled softly it went well with his soft voice, he was still reasonably young and his voice didn't wish to deepen anymore then it already had.
"I am Dharba and I am sorry you walked in while I was having a bath, not a pretty site Im afraid, this mane is untameable!" He laughed at himself and then turned back to her, still smiling.

Kat watched him out of the corner of her eye. He was...handsome, was that the term used for males? She wasn't quite sure, her mother and sister never told her about males, what to expect of them. So Kat was wary of everyone, not really knowing what bad or good things could happen between males and females.
When he said hello she smiled back and sank to the ground somewhat, though she smiled, and said"H-hello," back softly. She was just nervous, she hoped he wasn't mad at her for being nervous. She didn't get out much really with others she knew very well.
"It's nice to meet you Dharba..." she said with a nod, "I-I'm Katana'Kitsune, Kat for short if you prefer...I apologize if...I stumbled across you at a bad time..." she cast her eyes to the side, she felt nervous and embarrassed for making him feel awkward, if he did feel awkward.

He listened to how she spoke and just smiled more, "There is no need to be nervous, I don't wish to eat you or hurt you or anything that might be horrible, i am just normal so really no need to be nervous or shy or anything." He was rambling.
He licked at his paws before trying to play with his mane, oh how he wished the black fluff would be tamed.
"You have a beautiful name and no don't worry, its not me that will have a bad time but your poor eyes!" He chuckled and looked up at her from licking at his paws yet again.
"So where are you from Kat? You seem to be someone who wouldn't travel alone." It was only curiosity but she seemed so nervous.

She felt a bit calmer, and relaxed a bit more. She smiled, he was having her feel more welcome in his presence, more normal, on equal with him. It had been a long while since she felt like that around anyone but her sister.
She missed her sister so.
Kat blushed slightly at the mention of her name was beautiful, she wasn't used to comments, didn't know how to respond to them very well either. "I was born in the misty pride....but...I left there...and I travel alone because...."
She stopped, it made her think of her family, which made her heart ache to see them again, " because...I am alone..."

The misty pride created a snarl in Dhars throat but he dropped it. "I was born in the misty pride but a lion there called Maji, he hated my mother for no good reason. We left as mother feared for out lives, he hated us that much that she didn't want to risk our safety. Since then we all split, brother went off my sisters went off together and I found mother the other day, I took her too my sisters and am now alone as well."
He paused from talking realising he was doing far too much of it. "You don't have to be alone ya know. There are plenty of lions male and female who would love as company, you could find a mate, settle down and have a family!" He chuckled a little, he believed it to be true, she was pretty after all!

She smiled faintly, the misty pride seemed to bring others pain as well. "At least...you know your family is somewhere you can visit them...My mother...." she stopped, and sniffled, tears in her eyes somewhat, but she refused to have them fall. "My mother, father and twin sister...the plague took them from me...and so I am alone because of that..."
The silent death, she despised it so.
Kat looked up at him, tilted her head to the side. Have a family? She flicked her tail. She always thought of having a family when she was bored, daydreaming, but it always led back to the same question, "But who would even look at me that way? I can't even hunt well... you though...surely one day, you will have a grand family..."

He looked somewhat sad at her story but the smile crept back onto his face, "You should come and meet my family, they are all rather odd but would welcome you as part of it, if you ever needed someone." He smiled, he was speakig the truth, his mother was kind though she didn't always show it, his brother and sisters were just odd but they would all accept her.
"Me have a family? I doubt it. I mean, you at least are pretty and even if you can't hunt well you are nice enough to become a good mother and mate! Me however, I am somewhat lost I guess and confused. I doubt anyone would settle with me as I am not settled." He laughed, he made no sense at all!

"Y-your family?" she got a bit nervous again. She couldn't help it, meeting one lion at a time was nerve racking enough. But more then one? They would be related, she would be the odd one of the bunch. Would they look at her funny? Would they accept her? It was so sudden, so strange. Kat wanted a home so much though, she wanted friends.
She cursed her shyness inwardly.
"I-I'm not pretty...." Kat said softly. She didn't consider herself pretty, she was just, normal...wasn't she? Or was he seeing something she hadn't noticed before? She shook her head, "I wouldn't know how to be a mother...and I, don't know much about-" she cut herself off. She didn't want to sound like a child. Though she never really got 'the talk' from her parents. She she was clueless in that sense.
"One day you will make a lioness very happy...your so kind..."

He smiled, "Don't worry, Nyunya, she is one of my sisters, she isn't related to me at all so you wouldn't be like odd one out and The cubs my mother is pregnant with at the moment they are only half siblings, so yeah, none of us are completely related, like I said, odd family." Her nervous tone made him mention all about his family, he didn't want her to feel left out, his family was odd but then thats what happens when your mother falls in love with another female!
"You are pretty, don't put yourself down! You would make a good mother, mine said it comes naturally." He smiled at her and chuckled a bit. "I won't make any lioness happy, I couldn't provide and protect her. I am not the strongest of lions, a strong mind but not strength where one needs it." He smiled a little, he didn't believe himself to be a good father one day or anything else really.

Kat's smile became a smirk, though she didn't notice it, she padded a few steps closer to him and poked his chest softly, "You say to not put myself down, yet you do it to yourself...I think, if I am to not doubt myself...you shouldn't doubt yourself right?" She smiled and poked him again playfully.
"Fairs fair."
She made a little circle around him and smiled the whole time, she was relaxing more, she felt like she was playing with a true friend, she needed this so much. "I bet you could take down anyone, long as you put your mind to it..."

He chuckled as she became a little bolder. "Ah but surely being a male I get to say who does what!" He chuckled and laughed as she circled him.
"Are you challenging me then? I cant think of taking down a lady, that would make me pure evil!" He chuckled and laid down a little watching her every move. This could be interesting.

Kat stopped in front of him and tilted her head, "So...males order females around?" she said it softly, sort of in a wonder that that was really how things might work outside of her own social group including herself only. "A challenge? Hmm...perhaps..." she smirked and smiled and poked at him again. She felt more relaxed, almost like she was a cub playing again.
This was nice.
