Heard some of these on Anne's official message board a few years back:
You Might Be A Pern Fan......
1. If you see an odd looking cloud, and run for shelter.
2. If you have a Lower Cavern instead of a kitchen.
3. If you hear that your friends received a Fax, and pull out your trusty belt knife.
4. If you see weeds in the pavement, and pull out your flamethrower.
5. If you get the suspicious feeling that the fly you were about to swat just went between....
6. If you hear of a distant cousin named Sorka, and get really excited.
7. If you idly wonder what color dragon your friends would ride.
8. If you see a sign that says "Path This Way", and expect to see a green dragon.
9. If you meet someone named Ruth, and wonder where Jaxom is.....
10. If you see the store K'mart, and wonder what color he rides.....
11. If you see a word like "pernicious", and just know that your definition isn't going to match the one in the dictionary.
12. If you'll only choose cars that are green, blue, brown, bronze, or gold.... and immediately after buying said car, happily announce to the person you bought it from the car's name (This works with bikes too)

13. If you run around telling every insignificat detail of the Pern RP you are in to your significant other and/or family memebers that have never read the books and think they should be as amused as you.
14. Get highly upset when someone get's a dragon's color or name wrong.
15. Think the color green is highly unlucky.
