I personally call it no meaningful interaction between the two characters, or they've never really known who eachother were.
(AKA: NaruIno, GaaSaku and most rookie 9 pairings don't count.)
Other people say anything else different from mainstream.
So, other fellow guild members, how do you define crack?

Crack = 2 things.
Crack can either be two characters who have absolutely no interraction/have never met (SasuHina, NejiSaku), or a pairing of characters that seem really random and have no truthful 'romantic' attachment. (NaruIno, KakaSaku)

3 things for me.
Same as Hina...2 characters that have had no interaction whatsoever with each other, a pairing that have had interaction but not romantic attatchment or characters that have had slight interaction but will never happen or don't even know each other (ItaSaku).

xD Nu. I have to agree with HinaKitty. But I think that I'm very lenient on tthe terms.
For example, I don't consider KakaSasu a crack pairing. I know that it's never going to happen, but I think tht Kakashi and Sasuke have had enough interaction and understandings of each other to make a statement that the pairing is LOGICAL.
So if I had to put it in my own words, I'd say that I define crack as a pairing that isn't logical when it comes to what's canon in the series.
For instance, ItaSaku could possibly happen. There are a lot of logical explantions as to why it is. However, there's nothing in the series as of now to create those logical explanations.
Example: Akatsuki kidnaps Sakura as bait to get to Naruto. She falls in love with Itachi while bieng held captive.
That's logical. But it never happened. So I personally still consider ItaSaku crack.
I hope that all made sense. xD

That does make sense. Same as GaaSaku. It isn't total crack since Gaara and Sakura have had interaction even if it's sligh still, it isn't enough to not be considered crack. Taking also the fact that Gaara doesn't know her really. GaaSaku as a possiblity in happening, yet it is less-likely to ever happen.
Still, I wish ItaSaku became a little bit canon... crying

I wish it were less crack...And more inviteable. Kind of like NaruSaku and SasuSaku.
Though I don't really want it to happen...

I think that a bit of ItaSaku would be nice.
But only because it might cause a little drama between SasuSaku. >w< but then of course Sasuke would get his revenge and SasuSaku and..yeah.

I hear about SasuSaku MUCH too often.
I think ItaSaku would cause collasal anger from SasuSaku/NaruSaku fans...Or fans of Sakura, period.

Okay, no offence, but DON'T say you're sure it can't happen. (I know you didn't say you were SURE, but you got pretty close)
SasuSaku and NaruSaku (now, I mean no offense with the following, but it seems pretty damn true) are even more canon/likely to happen than GaaSaku.
Gaara and Sakura have only really met ONCE. They've had very little interraction, and Kishimoto would probably have to be going a bit whack to decide to throw GaaSaku into the picture.
He'd probably get his house burned down.
Now, I just said this because, as I've made the point before, NARUSAKU IS MY OTP, I HAVE TO DEFEND IT. Like you would defend NaruHina if I decided to say I'm pretty sure it can't happen. (And I'm not. It could happen. It just shouldn't.)

Crack....I consider crack pairings that CAN'T happen and WON'T happen...ever...under any circumstance...(you see, so I consider less pairings crack than most people)
Like my Lovely ItaNaru...I would NEVER consider ItaNaru crack...ever...why? Cause it could SOOO happen....
Unlike.... ItaSaku... which I do consider crack...because Itachi doesn't do anything unecessary, like kidnapping or harming anyone other than his target (i.e. he didn't want to fight Asuma and Kurenai when he came for Naruto) so he wouldn't bother kidnapping Sakura...cause that's just not Itachi....so that's why I consider it crack....
I base my crack and non-crack on people personalities and traits.....as well as their interaction...so I end up with more non-crack than crack....

But other than that I think it is:
1. A couple with two characters that hardly interact.
2. A couple that makes little sense or has little or no possibility of happening.
3. An couple that is not very well known or supported cause no one thought of it!
