One day, you decided to finally do what your best friend desperately wants you to do: Go take a hike. So you set off with your little backpack, a water bottle, and a small tin of hard candy. You start hiking into this forest, and eventually get sick of seeing trees. Turning around, you realize that you left your map at home and you're lost. Oh no! What will you do?
RULES:
1. I control the forest and other NPCs (both benevolent and harmful). What I say goes.
2. Each person starts off by themselves, and remains by themselves unless I hook you up together, which I might or might not do. Attempts to hook yourself up with other characters by yourself will result in something very unpleasant.
3. Your puny human ways of navigation may or may not work: trying to follow the north star (for example) may help you get your way out, or it might lead you into serious trouble.
4. You start with a backpack, a sleeping bag, a water bottle, one change of clothes, and a tin of hard candy.
5. It's a magic forest: Things aren't always as easy as they seem.
6. You will write in complete sentences. Zero exceptions.

Jax [my rp name, a shortened and more sane verson of my origional psycho character Jaxter] yawned and decided it was time to turn back. He reached into his map pouch in his backpack, and found this note from his parents:
Dear Jax, we borrowed the map for a little while. Don't go exploring, okay?
Love,
Mom and dad.
Jax just stared at the note for a while with a shocked expression on his face. He kept calm, sat down, and ate a hard candy. It tasted awful. He snapped.
"WHAT THE HELL!" he yelled. "The one time my parents decide to actually use a map, the one time I forget to check for it, and on top of it all, these candies are my only food!"

Farley Grey stops in the middle of a clearing, stiff. He decides to stretch a bit, as well as check his things. Once his muscles were loosened, Farley rummaged through his pack, looking for his map to see where he was. Coming to a brief stop, he found what he thought was his map.
Upon opening this "map", he found a note written over the surface:
"Dear Farley,
It's me, Nick, that one guy who invited you over to his house...twice. Yeah, I think you should remember me through that. Anyway, I figured you wouldn't mind me borrowing your map so I could go exploring while my parents were out.
-With Love..."
Farley then found another note tapped to the back of the one he was currently reading.
"Disregard the 'With Love' part.
- Signed Nick"
"That's great...," Farley claimed with a sigh. "I hope his parents didn't borrow it without telling him again..."

A strong smell of blood is coming from here. The left path is hardly visible, and a large tree trunk lies in the middle of it. Which way: Left or Right?

"Whoa, didn't see that before!"
Upon turning around, Farley notices a fork in the road. Two ways to go, the right way was well worn with no grass and a strong scent, the left is hardly visible, due to a tree trunk blocking the way.
Farley scratched his head, "Either way, it looks like I'm screwed, though, the blood scented path may have food (see "freshly killed animals") down it...so, I guess I'll take that one."
Farley started down the right path.

A man is in the process of skinning the carcass, and he has a knife. His clothes are rough animal skins and his hair is knotted and stained with blood. Do you run the other way, or do you try to talk to this man?

Jax jumped up and realised he'd always been on the path, and that he was an idiot for not thinking of just retracing his steps. He then proceeded to run back the other way, using the path as a guide. He was in good spirits, figuring that he was saved.

[Nice try.] Alas, this was a magical forest, and the way back had changed, leading Jax straight to a very deep canyon. "AAARROOO!" The noise came from behind Jax. It was a wolf and his pack. They were hungry, and quickly surrounded Jax. What do you do? Within reach there is a stick.

Step by step, he drew closer, until the man suddenly stopped and looked his way.
