((EDIT: HA HA. It's showing her Adol image now, since I changed the thing to show it. She was a juvie when this RP happened... 8B ))
Escaped! FREEDOM! Being the middle child of what felt like five BILLION children, Kinye had bounded off, away from her 10 siblings, mom and dad... and the BABYSITTER (DOOOOM). Giggling as the grass burshed against her belly, the cream colored pup soon fell over onto one side, pawing at the stalks that had so 'assaulted' her, nipping at them a bit, before rolling back over, making sure she got as dirty as possible in the process of doing so, before heading back off on her way.

"Healthy grass is a good sign that there'll be animals out here!" she realized, grinning happily.

When the herdbeasts came out here, that was a sign that dinner was closer..

and her time to learn how to become a FEARSOME HUNTRESS. Who would then?

TAKE OVER ALL OF AFRICA WITH HER WILD DOG ARMY!

.. She had a few dillusions here and there, but overall, she was okay....

maybe.

Gereizt grumbled as he walked. His blue fur, rough and unkempt, was perfect for the harsher elements but met it's match in brush and twigs. The blue dog stopped to scratch and bite at a particularly annoying splinter. Growling lightly as he pulled it from his azure fur, Gereizt couldn't help but look at the giant mat that was supposed to be a tail. He cursed loudly, growling and snarling at the ofending body part.

This dog, like his namesake, was always grumpy, irritated and came off as unkind. The calm color of his fur was quite the irony for such a fiery individual. Another slew of curses touched the air as he pulled at a rather entangled bramble.

How he absolutely hated nature.

"If one more of these damn things gets caught, I swear I'll just rip it off!"

She was an easy one to miss, being almost the same color as the dried out savannah. However, black was NOT a natural color, so on her body, it made her almost look like a moving SWARM OF INSECTOID DEAAAAATH. Which she had fun with now and then.

Now being more prominent.

Stalking through the grass, crouched, the not-pup-but-not-quite-adult made a sort of VERY fake sounding buzzing noises, as if pretending to be a bug. A very LARGE bug.

But a bug none the less.

Indeed, the cursing and not-so-niceties had called the curious girl over, bringing her to pop her nose out of the grass before her head followed, investigating the tempermental adult male.....

who was VERY hard to miss. Wasn't often one saw something big and blue sticking out like a daisy in a bed of roses.

"Well maybe if you just let them accumulate until the end of the day, you wouldn't have to pull whatever out all the time." She suggested, hearing the very last of his complaints while hiding in the grass (though not very well.)

Gereizt pulled at the last tricky bramble that stuck to his fur. Clumps of once tangled blue fur littered the tan ground around him. It was bright and entirely noticeable. He finally rose to long legs after scatching the fur from his teeth. His ears twitched in annoyance...like they always did. Teeth bared in a seemingly forever snarl, the male continued through the grass.

A small bit of movement caught his eye but he simply disregarded it until in continued with a buzzing sound.

Odd

Gereizt looked about him, utterly confused. The only things that buzzed were large swarms of insects but...they didn't move bushes...did they? A quick glance in the direction showed bits of tan and white but nothing too out of place. His ears twitched again at the small voice.

"Excuse me?" He snorted, not yet noticing her head. "If I did that then it would be absolutely impossible to get them out."

Great. A little know-it-all.

What an annoyance...

"Not really~" the juvenile decreed in reply, bounding out of the grass, coated with a fine layer of dirt, grass, and other peices of nature, giggling and shaking out her coat....

not that anything WENT anywhere when she did so, as it had taken up home in the depths of her coat. "It takes a little bit of effort and water... and maybe momma's help, but I do it all the time!" she beamed, sitting down in front of the large male and wagging her tail happily.

WHEE. It was a STRANGER.

In fact, this hit her so odd, she frowned a bit.

".. No -wonder- you didn't know that.. yer not from around here."

Again hopping up to her paws, the cream colored female started to do rounds around this strange male.

Hmmmm.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 25, 2006 7:23 pm

Lord The last thing he needed was to be locked in a battle of wits with a pup. His ears moved forward, faming his rather furry face. He too shook out his coat, causing a blueish cloud of fur to rise and float to the ground around him.

"Unlike you, little one, I have no Momma to help me get the tangles out nor do I need one." Hi momma, along with the rest of his family, had gone their seperate ways as they grew. Things like that happened in larger families. Being of 13 certainly didn't strengthen the family bonds, just the family genes. His tail went limp behind him. It probably wasn't the best thing to do but a good wag would easily dislodge anything from such a short amounth of time.

"I am from around here but you're just too young to realize it."

Blue eyes watched her closely as she circled. He could rest easy in knowing that she couldn't do anything to him.

One small comfort to him. "What's your name little girl?"

"Well then I could always ask my momma to help you!" She beamed, proud of the suggestion. So proud, in fact, that she didn't even notice just how.... unenthusiastic this stranger seemed to be.

"And if momma can't help, I can just ask one of my sisters. I have a lot of sisters... and brothers. 10 of 'em!" she announced, wagging her tail, just so full of energy. When there was always someone for her to play with, it was hard for her to NOT be a bundle of psycho energy.

Finishing her survey with a bit of a pawing at her new friend's (perhaps not the best title..) tail, the juvenile sat down, giggling and grinning hugely.

"I'm not a little girl, Mister. I'm almost a young adult! My mommy told me so." she corrected in a sort of immature fashion, before actually answering the question that had been asked.

"Kinyegele's my name. More commonly known by Kinye, though, if it suits yer fancy~"

There was a bit of a pause.

"Are you sure you don't want some help with your fur?" she then chimed, seeming keen on grooming the older male herself.

A grin pulled at Gereizt's muzzle. "Your momma can clean me all she wants." He chuckled at his obvious joke. At least, it was obvious to him. He lacked child skills along with childish jokes/. He almost regretted saying that. From what he had sen, the little girl would probably end up gettting it or actually taking him to her mother to help with his fur.

Awkward much...

His suprisingly clean tail wagged in reflex. It didn't have much to do anyway so it would just wag on it's own accord, luckily flicking dust and grass from his bright fur. It tucked against his flank at her pawing. Gereizt wasn't one for liking to be touched even with a coat that was in shambles. He certainly wasn't trying to keep himself clean.

"You're still a little girl to me, Little Kinye." He fell back on his haunches, wrapping his tail around his forelegs.

"I don't need your help." His ears twitched again.

"What are you doing out here all alone anyway?"

A blank stare followed the joke, before she crinkled her nose a bit. "Eww." she stated simply. Just because she was small, didn't mean she was childish. In fact, she understood that better then she would have liked.

Watching the male sit down, Kinye did her best to sit as tall as she could, just to make herself larger then she was. DARNIT! SHE WASN'T LITTLE! "Well then you're blind, Mister." she stated huffily.

The inquiry of what she was doing received a bit of a shrug, before she rose up, stepping back into the grass to play about in it. When she wasn't hiding, she was easier to tell out, at least.

"What does it -look- like I'm doing? I'm havin' an ADVENTURE." she decreed, grinning widely, swishing her legs about in an attempt to get them to look even -more- lovely.

"What are -you- doing out here, Mister?"

A great laugh came from him. She actually got it? "Maybe you aren't as little as I once thought." His tail twirled as he watched her. She was quite cute now that he had a chance to look at her. She had the potential to be downright beautiful even but Gereizt was only concentrating on that mouth of hers. Large and loud.

"I'm not blind. I just judge what I see and you were small a few moments ago but now I see that your mind is more...evolved than a lesser species."

Blue eyes stayed intently on her too maske sure she didn't get too close.

"I am just wandering. I don't have a home so that's what I do. Why should I stopp? I've been doing it for years at least." It hadn't actually been years of wandering but it was loong enough to make him think so. That's what happened when one got old he supposed. Everything started going down hill.

"Shouldn't you be at home with your momma, Kinye?"

Kinye took his apology quite well, nodding a bit. "It's fine. I am pretty small in comparison to you." she commented, sitting down again, though her tail was working at five BILLION miles per hour. Yes. That quickly.

"I judge things too, Mister." she admitted, shrugging. "I guess everyone does." she decided, on an off-hand note, nodding as she committed it to memory.

The asked question, however, just begged for her to answer it; "Well, maybe someday you'll find somewhere you would like to be. Or at least you'll find someone to go and wander WITH you." Kinye could only IMAGINE how lonely it would be to wander the world all alone, afterall. She was SURE she'd get lonely.

His more directed inquiry got a bit of a thoughtful nod from the cream colored juvenile. ".. Mommy has 10 other kids to watch after, and I'm just so talented enough to sneak away from her. So while yes, I should be, I don't like being swarmed in the claustrophobic spaces of my family."

Now if she had less siblings and could demand the attention of her parents... that would be a little different.

Gereizt shrugg in response. "Most others are smaller than me. I guess everyone just doesn't measure up to me." He liked being his size. He could easliy outmatch others if he so happened to wander into their territory. The 'mane' on his neck rustled as he shook out again. When only smal strands of blue fur fell, the male was glad that nothing else needed to be dislodge.

Her comments made his ears perk.

He had never thought of keeping a companion especially during his travels. Wandering had brought many to his attention and rare friendships but Gereizt had never taken someone under his wing. It always sounded like a bad idea to him since there would be an extra mouth to feed.

"I've never thought of that before. I actually like being by myself." Of course, it was a lie. As much as he hated being around others, he liked the company. Even talking with he had made him feel better even if she was a pain. "By the way, my name is Gereizt..." The blue male felt a small smile tug at his maw. She was certainy getting to him.

"Had 12 brothers and sisters climbing all over me. Now you know why I left home. Too many around for my tastes."

Kinye considered his comment on how he was bigger then most others, tilting her head to the side a bit. Was he bigger then daddy? It seemed like he could be. Not much bigger, but bigger none the less. "Is it nice being big?" she inquired. Kinye was always so EXCITED for when she would get bigger, and mommy wouldn't have to baby her 'special anti-sibling mass' needs. She didn't HATE her siblings... just so little room...

A smile, though not as huge as her enthusiastic grins of DOOM were, to say, formed on her maw as he spoke that she'd had a thought he hadn't before.. but it quickly turned into a frown when he said he liked being alone. ".. Oh. I'd think being alone would be... lonely." her ears drooped a bit.

"Of course, it's easy to be lonely, even when you're not alone." a bit of a whine followed the comment, before she perked up again, as if it hadn't bothered her at all.

Woah! He'd come from a big family too?

"Wow! You had 2 more siblings then me." she awed at the similarity, before her voice dropped to a whisper; "Did they squish you too?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 26, 2006 3:00 pm

Gereizt thought for a moment. If he did brinhg someone along with him then who exactly would it be. Certainly someone he could talk to and be happy with. Happy? He hadn't thought of someone else making him happy in a long time. His siblings had beat it out of him. Well...not neccessarily beat, more like pounced him out of liking companionship. A rugged loner was what he hadn't always wanted to be. Of course, it would be nice to have someone to help him with his coat.

With a genuine smile, he looked down at the little female. "Lonely is only something that mind makes up. If you like to be alone then you aren't lonely, just satisfied."

Yes. It was an odd explanation but it suited him for now. If she could get a joke then she could understand his philosophy. His heart amazingly softened at her frown. "Don't worry Kinye. Some people like to be alone and some like to be with others. My siblings made me want to stay alone since now I have enough space to grow by myself."

Huge families had their benefits in some ways. At least he always knew what he wanted.

Gereizt paused for a moment, seemingly in deep thought. Would she?...No. She had a family but...it was worth a try. "Were you hinting that you would...like to come with me?"

Considering his logic, the juvie nodded. It made enough sense. "I guess so. But sometimes it's really hard to find someone who makes you unlonely. I guess." She could only guess how nice it was to grow in space one had to themself.

Being bunched up with all her brothers and sisters kinda had cramped that for her. "And you -did- grow into all that space." she beamed, again referring to the fact that he was a freaking GIANT.

At least to her.

The odd pause was met with one of her own, which was spent staring at the adult, attempting to read his mind. Something about a stick, dirt, and other stuff.. hmm. Probably not working, she decided.

His inquiry received a sort of puzzled expression, but her entire posture perked up a bit.

"Well.. I would like to.. but I dunno if Mommy and daddy would let me leave. Especially since they don't know you and stuff..."

A bit of a pause. "Unless you were willing to let me introduce you and ask and stuff?"

Indeed, she seemed to like the idea of going out on her giant adventure.. a lot. ".... I mean.. if you would have me."
