Welcome to the Female Dorm. Pick your room and enjoy. The rooms inside the dorms, for both male and female, are empty so that students can fill it up with their own belongings. Their futons are rolled up and put away in their own respective closets.

Lyra sighed heavily as she approached the dorm door. Another hard day. As the days grew on, she knew they wouldn’t get any easier as well. Every inch of her body ached, and she wanted nothing more than to lie down and sleep. As she slid the door open though, she was welcomed by the stench of way too much perfume. Her nose twitched involuntarily, sensitive to the strong smell. This didn’t surprise her in the least though, it was to be expected in an enclosed space filled with girls.

Zombie-like, she shuffled to her room, not bothering to return the hello’s she might receive from her fellow classmates. Lazily, she flung the door open, not bothering to pull out her futon, or close the door, before she sprawled out on the floor. She pressed her forehead to the cold floor and her ears twitched slightly. In her head was still the ringing from the side effect of the shockwave of the new spell she tried to learn today.

This is murder...

Li Bai prowled along the various halls of the dorm. She had arived late, and the day's lessons had already ended. Not that she minded all that much, it wasn't as if she was learning what she wanted. She still wore her traveling coat, and was sporting a bulging backpack, slung over one shoulder. After wandering around for so long, the girl felt an annoying sweat growing under her arms. How large could this place be? Where was her room?
Instead of asking for directions, she continued to trudge down another hall, but stopped when she noticed a door was open. Although, it wasn't so much the door that caused Li Bai to pause, but the sight of a slumped figure on the floor. Her breath quickened, and her heart rate quickly began to rise. Was this person hurt? Dead? The girl felt her hand drop, and her backpack fall off her shoulder. She wondered what she should do, she considered her options.

Lyra began to relax as the ringing in her head started to fade. She felt alll her senses begin to weaken as she grew sleepy. Suddenly, she felt a vibration through the floor panels, as if something was dropped on the ground not far from her. She chose to ignore it though, and relaxed once more. It didn’t last long though, as she began to feel the heat of a stare, and she idly wondered if someone was in her room with her. But that wouldn’t be possible, she had a lock on her door. As she backtracked though, she found out that she had indeed left her door open.

After mentally slapping herself, Lyra clumsily sat up and turned around to see her door wide open. Standing the frame was a girl who looked rather frightened. She appeared a little younger than herself, and beside her was a bag Lyra assumed to be the girls.

She blinked, wondering what had happened, “Um, I’m sorry, can I help you with something?”

Li bai jumped as the fallen girl rose. Not dead at all, or even hurt so it seemed. She let out a long breath she had been holding, releasing her surprise in one word.
"Ai...ya." Li bai cleared her head, realizing that she had to explain her presence. "I am sorry," Her prominent accent was causing a tedious procession of her syllables, yet she tried to appear unconcerned of it to mask her self-consciousness. "It is that I saw you lying there so motionless, and I thought you- that some thing bad had happened to cause this." She faked a smile, and bent down to retrieve her fallen backpack.

Lyra was still groggy, slightly confused on what this girl was going on about. Her accent attracted Lyra's attention though, and she studied the girl.

"I'm alright, just a bit worn out," she didn't return the weak smile the girl gave as she picked up her bag, "Sorry for leaving the door open, I know how the teachers tweak out about that. Hope that didn't offend you or whatever," the peope here, as she found out, seemed to be fairly strict when it came to the dorms.

As Lyra yawned, she allowed the silence to set in, and made no move to fill in the void, or get up for that matter.

Her words took a moment to register in Li bai's head.
"No offence taken, do not worry. Although, you say you are fine, but I believe that you would have gotten up had that been the case." She hoisted her heavy backpack onto her shoulder once more, and took a quick, nearly unnoticeable glance around the room.
"I could call someone, if it is assistance you need." The prospect of wandering back around the dorm to find someone to aid this person didn't sound as appealing as picking out a room for her own, but Li bai figured something had to be said to rid of this vexing silence that had descended over them.

Lyra began to grow weary again as the girl continued to speak. She figured the girl would of left by now and was surprised at her offer to find someone to help.

“I’m fine, really,” she said, standing up to prove it so. Her tail flicked slightly as she spoke, her patience beginning to lessen, “thank you for the offer, but I’m quite alright.”

Lyra wanted nothing more than to sleep, and she began to loose track of her attitude and manners as the time wore on. Stepping forward, she placed a hand on the knob of the door and smiled slightly, “I’ll see you later I guess.”

"Hao, I will leave you to rest then." Li bai took a step back to let the girl slide her door shut. Now that she was back in the hall of the dorm, she felt the shock of seeing a collapsed body slowly fade away, and was replaced by her common sense.
Did that girl have fox ears? Li bai considered the possibility of this doubtful visualization, yet she remembered that she had to expect the improbable at a place like this one.
Even so, this entire ordeal hadn't helped her find her room. A chorus of voices caught her attention, though. Two girls, at the far end of the hall, and to Li bai's astonishment, they were picking out their own rooms! She cursed her lack of understanding beforehand, and turned on her heel. Quickly choosing, opening the nearest door she could find, and entered the empty room. Such a hasty decision for where she'd be living, but she was in no mood for meticulous thinking. Throwing her backpack onto the ground, Li bai sat facing the window, taking deep breaths to clear her mind.
What now?

As the girl left, Lyra slid the door shut behind her.

That was different, usually the kids here don't care about things like that.

She began to feel the tinge of regret as she replayed the events in her mind. She was rather rude to the girl. Hell, she didn't even ask for her name. As Lyra curled back up on the cold floor, she began to feel her eyes get heavy. What a way to make a first impression. Soon she began to doze off, and made a promise to apologize to the girl when she awoke again.

As Lyra curled back up on the cold floor, she began to feel her eyes get heavy. What a way to make a first impression. Soon she began to doze off, and made a promise to apologize to the girl when she awoke again.

Slowly but surely, Lyra awoke within a few hours time. The familiar sound of giggling girls was the first to enter her ears. Opening her eyes, she arose slowly, feeling much more energized then before. Sitting up fully, she looked outside and saw that the sun was setting, meaning dinner time was coming near. Feeling more motivated at this thought, she stood up and smoothed out her hair before opening her door and stepping out.

It was only when she got into the filled dorm did she remember the girl from before and the promise she had made herself. The only problem was, she had no idea how to start looking for her. Maneuvering through the multi-raced room, she began to glance around the faces, forgetting what the girl looked like. Lyra began to loose hope, figuring the girl would find it odd that she would apologize anyway.

Sticking to a solitary corner, she sunk into a chair and began to wait until the crowd would file out into the lunch room for dinner. There was a group of girls off in the center of the room, each preforming an amazing array of spells and tricks. Lyra watched them carefully, forgetting the girl she was looking for, and everyone else around for that matter.

After her mind was clear, Li bai got to her feet, and opened her backpack. How bare her room looked. She pulled out a few rolled up paintings and hung them along the back wall. Much better, but it still was much too plain. For the next few hours, she spent her time with what limited supplys she had to make the place feel more like home.
Li bai heard noises from outside. And saw small shadows amongst the halls. She opened her door and peeked her head out. From a few pieces of conversation, she learned that it was time for dinner. Snapping the door shut, she quickly changed into something less travel-worn and morphed into the crowed of girls heading out into the main room. The entire place was full of people talking and laughing and playing. The energetic feeling of the room drained Li bai, and she quickly wished to be out of there. Edging along the outside of the room, in search for the exit, she caught a glance across the dorm at a familiar figure. She sat, concentrating on something Li bai could not see. Indeed, she had fox ears. How interesting. Li bai thought she caught her eye, but made no indication of aknowlaging it for fear of being drawn back into the gangle of people enjoying themselves in the room before dinner.
When Li bai finially got out of the building, she closed her eyes and rested for a moment, standing on the grass, and enjoying the cool afternoon breeze. It was starting to get chilly as the sun was setting.

Asami carried some of her bags, walking down the long
hallway of the dorms. She stopped before one and opened it, "Here
I am." She said, "I'll learn what my father failed to teach me." She placed
her belongings down and unpacked calmly, yet quickly.

It was getting later, and Li bai noticed a small progression of students begin to make their way over to where she assumed everyone was meant to gather for dinner. They seemed to know where they were going, so she followed behind. A good distance, not too far to lose them, but not to close for her to be noticed. They led her straight there, and Li bai made a note of the directions needed in order to get back to the dorm.

As soon as she finished unpacking, she made her way into the
halls. She saw some girls walking in a large number, they were going
somewhere that Asami needed to go too. She followed as the passed her.
