Ok, I have been off of meds for quite a while, and i dropped my psych because he was a pill pushing peice of s**t. That was all good until about the last month, i am swinging faster and harder than usual and it is just about too much for me to handle. I was on a one week manic, and it was the worst i had ever been, not sleeping, full of energy, but moving too fast for me to even think about wut i wuz doing in the day, and then i crashed hardcore. FUN, FUN. Anyways, the psych's in Lloyd, are pill pushers, and they prescribe within about ten minutes of meeting u, so where do i turn?

I wonder if there is a link in suddleny stopping meds, and relapses? I don't know what to tell you about the psych, mine's a pill pusher too, and she's from a university/childrens hospital. I know our county mental health place here sucks, so I travel 90 miles to see my shrink.
I suggest if you have the money, trying a private person, that what I suggested. But we don't have the money.
I have a theory that people who work for the state or country get payed more to perscribe the pills.

Ya, I'm in Canada, and the pharmasutical (i cant spell) companies pay psych's for every prescription they write, its rediculous.

The medication is poison! It's all sideffects! And the new A-typical Anti-Psychotics are contributing to Obeasity and Type 11 Diabetes, not to mention long term use can cause permanent Tardive Dyskenesia. scream

Meds are okay if you're willing to live with the side effects. and after a bit, theyre actuall not that bad.
And theres a type 11 diabetes?

Don't look for a shrink. See if your school has a counseling system.

Look for a doctor that is not eligible to prescribe drugs.
