but what about our rivals??

discuss, because i'm telling you to:

--your guard's rival(s)
--what they have done before to piss you off (i.e. beat you at a competition with cheap visual effects, broke/stole your equipment, whatever....)
--what YOU have done to them......if you have done anything like that.....






if she is still here, tigerish and i pretty much hate woodson and oakton's color guards because they like spending money and buying equipment and costumes that they'll only use once so that they can beat every other guard and even though they're never together or can't toss they still beat us because of CHEAP VISUAL EFFECTS. this is an issue that my guard feels quite strongly about.

we do not, however, hate them in the offseason/during winterguard, because we do not have a winterguard at lake braddock.......we tend to cheer woodson on........ sweatdrop

They slashed your drums? Wow. That's crazy.

Um...last winter season we were not fans of Taylor. They were a really small guard and the opening of the show stated "though we may be small, don't doubt our capabilities." Well at finals, every one of their three shows they were not their best, they dropped all the time, a girl was injured so they were short one, they're floor design and costumes were not entertaining to watch and they're show wasn't very good, but they still somehow scored well, while we worked our butts off, had nearly flawless shows, placed much lower at finals then they did.

Oh and at prelims when they ran off the tarp for the end of the show one of the girls yelled s**t really loud when they were in the back hallway, loud enough that we heard it in the arena.

We didn't like them because we didn't know how they did so much better than us.

yea, i know...so now we hate them

my school's biggest rival is Boca. Normally at the championships in Ohio, we make finals, but one year we didn't and they made it instead. We were happy for them but thten they ave us attitude. SO everytime we see them we don't clap or talk to any of them

there is one guard for indoor this year that HATE!! us but we like them, North Hagerstown High School. We have the same drill/instructor but he likes us better, sorry kids, not our fault. So they wrote to our captain on myspace how we suck and said a lot of nasty things. So we "kill [them] with kindness" which means be nice to them. Oh and we beat them this weekend. I like their show though, it is soo Bobby (the instructor for both of us) and i love bobby work.

Alrighty, our rival guard is gonna have to be 'The Cadets or Parker County' *spits* They ruined our perfect season last year *the only team to ever beat us* AND they tied with us for championchips. But it sucks even more because even my mother said they probably would have beaten us. But, this year we got revenge but having a perfect season and beating them every time *3.7 points at championchips* hahahaa!!!!!!! twisted

Heh heh... I go to Woodson. Sorry you hate us.

Woodson's main rivals in the fall season are you (Lake Braddock) and Robinson. But the reason we beat you guys isn't because of "cheap visual effects", but we do have variety. I've seen Lake Braddock's shows, and it seems like the only thing their guards do is stand in the very back of the field and use only flags with everybody doing the same thing. That's why you guys are together and catch so well.

Our guards weave in and out of the band constantly, and we use weapons and other props to interpret the meaning of the show to the audience, we usually aren't always synchronized like you. We used those bids on the poles to convey peace, for example. And the umbrellas for our winter show were used to convey a storm.

I wish Lake Braddock did have a winterguard, though. Our rivals are Colonial Heights High School (VA) and East Carteret High School (NC).

I'm not trying to be mean, so I'm sorry if you thought I was. Just trying to explain.

Every year they seem to get 1st place no matter what,but it's changing next year. =]
