The Joyeuse would have to be my favorite mythological weapon, but there's so many to choose from; like Freyr's sword, or Arondite, or Ogma, there's a huge list of'em. xD

You could also call it "The Retaliator."

For me it has to be Thor's Mjolnir. The story behind it, the devestation of it's power, the symbolism behind it, and how it became such an important part of Norse culture (marriage over a hammer) is quite amazing.

I'm definately going to have to go with the classic here, and say Mjollnir. Freyr's sword... the idea behind it is awesome, but we never really get to see it in action. My (Set's) spear... that's pretty cool as it is the only weapon that can possibly kill Apep, but it gets kinda boring with the spear just killing Apep day in and day out.
Mjollnir, on the other hand, is always involved in some new and gruesome slaughtering of one sort or the other, at the end of an adventure gone wrong. Or maybe right, depending on how you look at it.

bokusenou1 What place's myths is Freyer from? A quick search of Wiki gives me this: Wikepedia Freyr (sometimes anglicized Frey)[1] is one of the most important deities in Norse paganism and Norse mythology. Worshipped as a phallic fertility god, Freyr "bestows peace and pleasure on mortals". He rules over the rain, the shining of the sun and the produce of the fields. There's more but I didn't think it was necessary. 3nodding
