Decent idea. It seems like running a campaign over AIM with characters. Might work very well or might blow up in your face, not much room in between. I'll support you if you want to try, but I would not do something like that myself. Best of luck.

Interesting concept, but it leaves tons of room for outsiders to interfere. I think BigMage's suggestion about running a game in a chatroom might be a safer alternative.

Not too bad an Idea. You can lock you house and invite only friends in. But it leaves things like dice rolls and etc. kinda out there...

I had no idea you could lock them. That changes it to the need for the DM to do all rolling. It would work if that's true. Digital DnD meets, what next? lol

Why cant the players roll at home. Honesty is the number 1 key aspect to DnD. Personally, I think it will make it more like the Old School DnD with a world wide twist.
