umm, id say its not really safe no matter what u do, not really. its really hard on a horse to go through snow that's above the horses knees. plus your horse might try and leap through the snow if u do ride, thats almost a ticket to falling off, lol.

as long as there's no ice under it, its totally fun. lol. i wouldnt ride bareback in it (i dont like falling off, lol, im not so great bareback, need more practice), but thats personal preference, i heart my saddle, haha. but cantering in snow is awsome. it was only like 8 inches, but it makes them lift their legs really high. xd feels like little jumps.

I'd suggest just keeping to the feils where your horses are kept. They'll have already created paths for themselves in the snow, and your horse is not likely to stray from that path. Other than that, just watch the ground to make sure there's no ice, and you should be fine. If there's that crusty ice sheet on top of the snow, though, dont go riding in it. It hurts them when they lift their feet.

Hi kaji onna its me i have no clue what to do when bareback riding in deep snow but it sounds really dangerouse so maybe don't do it

so we were keepin' a horse for this one girl cause we felt sorry for her bein' kicked outta her mom's house, and she couldn't get a trailor to take him to her dads till a few days latter,
so... she was gonna ride him bear back, jsut a blanket on... to this one persons place cause her trailor had a flat tire that weekend. so this 18 wheeler came by and the horse spooked,
IT was SOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY
she flipped back and did like a full circle flip off of him fallin' and hurt herself
*she's a b***h so we thought it was funny* ( she also lied to us ALOT)
but it took us like an hour to catch the dern thing and he slid on the HWY, and we had traffic blocked...

oh she was gonna give me money for the hay and the trouble of catchin' him TWO TIMES cause he jumped a 4 foot 4*1/2 foot fence, with out scrappin' himself up! mind you. into our nabiors yard that was PISSED and couldn't call off their dogs...
but i got to keep her purple blanket, so... instead of 5$ i got a purple blanket that i use fo stuffs....
