I just got the new NBC cd. IT's really good( expecially if you like all of the music that is on the movie). It has all of the music from the movie on it, and has about 5 remixed songs by: Panic! at the disco, She wants Revnge, Fall out boy, Maralyn mansion, and Fiona Apple! I enjoy all of the remixes, but i Really like all of the original songs that Danny Elfman made ( i think he's an awsome music writter and composer!) .
Has anyone else heard/or have this CD?
If so... What's your favourite songs?, do you like the remixes?..........or you can just talk about anything to do with this CD or movie! xd

I'm sorry, but I really despise the new CD with the covers-- I don't like any of them, and I think it just made TNBC more too commercial and appealing to the wrong sort of crowd (e.g. people who think that it's a Goth movie).

In my opinion, Marilyn Manson did a fair job, but I just can't like any of the covers, because the originals are all just such classics that shouldn't be fooled around with.

Danny Elfman will always rule! >D Hehe.

I like all of the covers except "Kidnap the Sandy Claws."

She Wants Revenge. Must. Die. They murdered my song.

It is slowed down, sung mostly by one person, sung in a whiny, monotonous tone of voice, techno, and worst of all, fails to use the original tune save for ten seconds in the middle (at precisely two minutes, thirty-five seconds. I will sometimes skip there to listen to it, because those eight seconds are the only part of the song I can stand).

Manson and Panic! both did a wonderful job with "This is Halloween," and you could tell that Fall Out Boy had fun with "What's This?" I liked Fiona Apple's version of "Sally's Song," but I feel that while it sounds lovely, her voice is too deep for the part, and at some places she sounds whiny too.

The Elfman demos are my favorite, especially "Kidnap the Sandy Claws." You may notice his voice goes high on Lock's parts. The reason is in the original script, Lock and Shock had each other's roles, but were switched later. I just love how he attempts to make his voice childish, and overall it is a delight to hear.

"Making Christmas" seemed to have been cut in half and entirely rearranged in the final, but it was a treat to listen to. I laughed at the Mayor's voice, and Elfman has kept Jack consistent from the beginning. "Oogie Boogie's Song" was fun to listen to. I think Elfman's Oogie voice is a bit strange, probably because Ken Page's voice is so deep and Elfman's is a lot lighter, but I liked it anyway.

"This is Halloween" is definitely my second favorite of the Elfman demos. I love Elfman's variety of voices, and they all went so well together. I would not have been surprised if that demo was the final for the movie.

Overall, it is a wonderful CD. Now to find some lollipops to shove down She Wants Revenge's throats...

I couldn't agree more about the She Wants Revenge "Kidnap the Sandy Claws". I always skip that song because they took the best, funest song in the movie and made it... unbareably monotone.

>< My poor Lock, Shock, and Barrel...if they were not already dead, they would probably be spinning in their graves.

If I aggree with anything Nightmare1 said, I agree with what She Want Revenge did to 'Kidnap the Sandy Claws!' I listened to it, and my ears bleed. It irongic that they named their group 'She Wants Revenge.' 'Cause I'm a she, and I want revenge.
