Shadowmancy is an ancient art, passed down since the dawn of time. It was originally brought to this plane of exsistance by a lich named Pol. Pol (pronounced pole) was a great painter, and was heavily influenced by the gods of the far realms, the planes of ultimate corruption. Pol painted a set of paintings known as the primal tarot, and these paintings were then linked to a deck of cards that bore the same images as these paintings. Each led to a different place, weather in this realm or not, but pol's paintings were all painted in blood, the part of his soul he bound into each painting making the colors he saw in his mind spring into life on the canvas, giving life to his beautiful yet terrible creations. Before he died, the deck and paintings were scattered throughout the realms. Thousands of years later, an immortal named Hatted Madigan. He was from a realm of war, but he sought beauty in the heat of battle, and what could be more beautiful than art bound in blood, painted by an artist so devoted to his art, he bound his soul into every piece. He collected them all in his gallery, and his firstborn son, his name still unknown to the oldest of the bards, found the gallery and stepped into one of these paintings, taking him to a place no man had ever been. This was the place in between the realms, known today as Tindalos. Here, everything's shadow was cast, the shadows of people, cities, and entire planes of existance, and in the center where all the shadows met, was a tower. Within this tower, the first seeds of shadowmancy were born. The boy stayed in the tower, and learned that the tower existed in every world and every realm at the same time, and if one knew how to walk the shadows, one could walk from plane to plane unhindered. As the boy grew, he discovered the shelves in the tower contained books that had been written by men of terrible power, corrupted bards, and even gods themselves. He read as many as he could, and found something no human had yet discovered, the secret of immortality. He took this and used it, and stayed for over seventy thousand years, learning the dark secrets of magic. He finally found one thing though, if he entered a magical deadzone, his body aged rapidly, and he died. Upon entering heaven, he became a Seraphim. As he obtained this power, he used it, in combonation with his partner Lucifer, went back to the library and read, learning the dark secrets of the universe. When God discovered this betrayl, he cast him down from heaven. in vengance, he brought it to one of the ancient races, the high elves, and taught them shadowmancy, and the ways of the spider queen Lloth. they became bent and twisted, and thus, the drow were born. Over time, Madigan's son became twisted, his angelic wings turning into blackened stubs, his body becoming part drow in and of itself, until he was bitten by a vampire, after which the race known as the hunters was born, created to kill Hatter's son and his creations. This eventually led to the near extinction of the fire demon race and the vampires. After these great and ancient wars, he vanished from the pages of history, but rumor has, he has adopted new names, and for millions of years, and thousands of ailias's he has survived through the many cruel years, cutting his bloody path through history in Ancient Japan (the shogun wars), Northern Europe (the black death) Countless battles in Ishbal, Querri, the Nine Hells, the Sixty-six layers of the Abyss, and other places throughout the multiverse, but he is most commonly known as the fourth horseman- War

Very nice. By any chance, is any of this from the Forgotten Realms Series?

(WE HAVE A WINNER! Finally, somebody knows where most of this started. Yes, there is alot of forgotten realms influence in this guild, and adding more from any campaign you may have played would be most welcome!)

(I acually haven't done any of the campaigns, or read any of the books yet, lol.... Been wanting to read some of the books lately though. I think I shall buy one on my next trip to borders.)

(I would strongly suggest the war of the spider Queen series, as well as the Drizzt Do'Urden sets by R.A. Salvatore)
