Hey,
I wasn't sure if there was a thread made for this subject yet, so I thought I'd put one up.
Here's the thread for those of us who can play, try to play, or want to play, some Radiohead stuff. We can talk instruments, effects, filters, time signatures, whatever.
Looking forward to some good questions, stories and/or advice!

I HAVE A STORY!
When I first listened to Radiohead, I was in a band. And my friend Dan was like, CHELSEA! GO LEARN ALL THESE SONGS ON GUITAR!
soo, of course, I look up Creep, and Exit Music (For a Film), and he made me learn Lucky and The Tourist.
And yeah, I go and learn a bunch of songs. and the only song I can remember is Lucky. The end.

I'm pretty okay on the piano, and I wanna learn some Radiohead stuff, so I printed out Like Spinning Glass Plates. Some of the notes don't make sense at all, so I'm looking for something.. simpler.

I got 2+2=5 on the piano. I tried Karma Police, but it ain't that easy. Like Spinning Plates to me wasn't that hard.....I just lack the dedication to learn the whole thing.

I am a tab whore. Either I learn songs myself, which is limited to nirvana due to my lack of skill. otherwise I look up tabs. they're usually pretty accurate (plus, I can't read guitar sheet music well at all >.< wink and if you listen to the song enough, you can figure it out with a tab for a guideline.

I learned a lot of songs via tabs, guess I should have specified Radiohead tabs. I find they're pretty tricky to play along to, especially for those of us not blessed with amazing skill. My friend E's such an amazing musician that he's gone beyond learning the mere melodies of instruments and is now way into applying effects pedals to match the exact sounds that Radiohead uses. He's gotten quite a few dead-on!

radioheads pretty easy to play really some of the harder guitar ones are like paranoid android and 2+2=5 though i would still describe them as pretty easy, damn good sounding though!
and yeah tabs work best for guitar sheet music doesnt really work for guitar caus ethe notes overlap too much and you chords suck as youre continually hitting 5 or 6 notes its not like piano

Do you apply any effects or do you just play them straight on guitar?

There used to be a site called littlerowboat.net that had a ton of Radiohead piano scores that were, as far as I could tell, pretty damn accurate. Unfortunately, it seems to have gone missing.
It's been ages since I played piano, so the only thing I really remember how to play is Pyramid Song.
