-Technology List-
Here it is! Now you too can own fun toys! 100% approved by our amazing research team, I introduce to you… TECHNOLOGY! Some are nifty weapons, some are more basic. Also, some are world specific! There are no gigai in Soul Society, after all! So all gigai related things are only in the Mortal World, etc…

-RULES-
All of these rules MUST be followed. If we have a problem with people breaking these rules, all technology that is not basic will be taken away.

1) Only take technology from this list. You cannot make up your own and use it without permission. If you would like to request your own technology, please do so through a PM. All reasonable requests will be considered. All requests that are accepted will be edited and added to the list.

2) You can only own 3 pieces of technology at once. This does not count the “Basic” list, which everyone gets automatically. Your technology list can change, but keep it reasonable. For example, if you owned two Kidou Guns and a Reiatsu Tracker in Soul Society and your character decided they need to go to the Mortal World, you may change your list to be a Reiatsu Tracker, Soul Candy, and a Kidou Gun, etc… You just can’t over 3 at a time.

3) Having a Kidou Gun does not make you God! Pretty much, keep the role playing to a reasonable level. You cannot blast the head off of a Menos with a Kidou Gun. You cannot raise your Reiatsu level to that of Aizen’s with a few amplifiers. Also, a Reiatsu Tracker cannot track those who are exceedingly good at hiding their reiatsu. Nor can it find Aizen. Anyone who acts all high and mighty just because they have a few technological upgrades will have those tech items taken away from them.

4) Some items are forbidden in the Mortal Realm, just like Captains have a power restriction. Some items cannot be brought back to Soul Society. I will clearly tell you which items are forbidden where. Anyone who takes illegal technology to one world or the other will have all of their tech taken away.

5) Keep a list in your profile of your current tech. YES, this means you have to update your profile pretty often. However, I would like to have something to refer to. If you use a tech item that is NOT on you profile, I will consider it a violation of rule #2 and your tech will be taken away.

Now, if I’ve made myself perfectly clear, on to the tech!

-Basic Tech-

This is equipment that everyone has. It does NOT count as one of your three. It also does NOT need to be included on your profile.

-Cell Phone-

This is the phone that everyone uses in the series. It serves as an actual cell phone that can contact Soul Society from the Mortal Realm and vice versa. Also, it doubles as a Hollow radar. Small dots appear on the screen when a Hollow appears in the area. I will allow you to decorate you Cell Phones just like a regular flip phone. This means you can have a specific cover, antennae straps, special ring tones, etc…

-Gigai-

The Gigai can ONLY be used in the Mortal Realm.

A gigai is a false body that allows Shinigami to interact with regular Mortals like they were one. However, a Shinigami cannot fight in a Gigai. Some Shinigami find it hard to get out of their Gigai once they are in. This may cause a delayed reaction to a battle or a Hollow. Certain Non-Basic tech can be used to help remedy this.

-Soul Society Tech List-

These Tech items find their origin and main use in Soul Society.

-Kidou Gun-

The Kidou Gun is just as it is suggested. In Soul Society, the Kidou Gun finds it’s ammo source can be any surrounding Spirit Particles or the user’s Reiatsu. In the Mortal Realm, however, the gun is purely dependant on the user’s own Reiatsu. This means that the power of the Kidou gun is significantly greater in Soul Society.

Kidou Guns are useful in a few ways. First of all, in Soul Society the user does not have to use any Reiatsu to activate the gun. This saves up their energy for other spells, like the binding and healing spells that the gun can’t perform. In the Mortal Realm, the guns are still useful because they don’t take as much time to fire as casting the spell would. Also, the guns tend to be more accurate that firing a spell regularly.

Kidou Guns come in the following types:
-Shakkaho ((Red Flame Cannon.))
-Sokatsui ((Blue Fireball))
and –Byakurai ((White Lightning))

The Shakkaho Gun is small, generally the size and shape of a typical handgun.

The Sokatsui Gun is larger, generally the size and shape of a gernade launcher.

The Byakurai Gun is actually more like a air taser. It remains in a handgun shape similar to the Shakkaho gun, but shoots lines of electricity.

The Kidou Gun is not infinitely powerful. It can only gather so much energy before it overheats. It can also overheat from excessive use. When the gun overheats, a cooling period must be allowed. It will not work while it is in the cooling period.

The amount of energy a Kidou Gun can use is dependant of its level. There are three levels of Kidou Guns.

-Level One-
A level one Kidou Gun takes up ONE slot on your list of three tech items. It is the least powerful of the guns. It shoots spells as if they were cast by a regular Shinigami.

-Level Two-
A level two Kidou Gun takes up TWO slots on your list of three tech items. It has a medium strength level. It shoots spells as if they were cast by a Vice Captain. Some Shinigami cannot use this level of gun in the Mortal Realm. It uses more Reiatsu than a Level One. Some Shinigami don’t have that much Reiatsu to spare.

-Level Three-
A level three Kidou Gun takes up THREE slots on your list of three tech items. It has a maximum strength level. It shoots spells as if they were cast by a Captain. Most Shinigami cannot use this level of gun in the Mortal Realm. It uses more Reiatsu than a Level Two. Most Shinigami don’t have that much Reiatsu to spare.

When you include a Kidou Gun on your list, please include the TYPE and the LEVEL of the gun.

-Amplifiers-

Amplifiers can ONLY be used in Soul Society.

Amplifiers are very experimental technology. As such, the increase in power that they provide isn’t amazing. Amplifiers come in a few select types.

-Kidou Amplifiers- These increase the strength of a Kidou spell by collecting some surrounding spirit particles. The strength increase is small for now, but still handy. Kidou Amplifiers often take the form of bracelets or wrist bands, though some can be as compact as a ring.

-Reiatsu Amplifier- This works kind of like a back up battery. It doesn’t really increase the power of one’s Reiatsu, it just holds a little more of it. Using spirit particles from the surrounding area, one can obtain a small amount of Reiatsu. When your Reiatsu is critically low, having one of these in your possession could mean life or death. By absorbing spirit particles, it ensures you enough Reiatsu to get to a restful spot, a large plate of food, or the medial ward.

Often a Reiatsu Amplifier comes as a pendant, but also can be found on anything that can hold a decent sized charm.

-Reiatsu Radar-

This works much like the Hollow Detector on Cell Phones. It does not detect mortals or even the average Rukongai resident. It also can’t track people who are hiding their Reiatsu.

-Mortal Realm Tech-

-Soul Candy-

Soul Candy can ONLY be used in the Mortal Realm.

Everybody should know what this is. Think ‘Kon’. Soul Candy is the name given to a modified soul in a brightly colored capsule that also doubles as an aid to get out of your Gigai. This makes rushing to the scene of an attack a lot quicker and easier. Be careful, however, because each modified soul has its own personality.

-Soul Extractor-

The Soul Extractor can ONLY be used in the Mortal Realm.

This is in the form of a symbol. When this symbol strikes the Gigai, the spirit inside the Gigai easily comes out. This is the same reaction received from the Soul Candy, only there is no modified soul to replace the one that’s lost. Some people prefer not to have a modified soul in their Gigai due to the confusion that they can cause. This is a good alternative. They can take the form of anything that can hold the symbol. Some examples include Rukia’s glove and Urahara’s cane.
