The Medical Ward has gotten bigger with time. After being overrun during the big attack years ago, they decided to expand. Now it is run by both 4th Squad nurses and Medical Researchers. No longer is the 4th Squad looked down on or laughed at. People have realized how important they really are to the survival of Soul Society.
