Helpful, however. I hated arpeggios, but I'm working on a piece that has a passage exactly the same as one in that monstrous scale book. Practice from it 20 minutes a day. biggrin

Yes, it sucks. However...now that I'm more used to scales and practice them for 20 minutes every day I actually like to play scales like f# minor. I actually chose the scale for an audition, much to the surprise of my parents and teacher.

So instead of a Concerto, you played a scale instead? eek (For some auditions you have to play a scale as well as a concerto) But I HATE Flesch. My condolences to you. But hehe...as much as I hated playing his scales, I make my students play them too, as a way of revenge for being forced to play them myself twisted

I think Sevcek is way worse than Flesch (& that's saying something)! His shifting excercises drive me crazy, but I hate to admit it actually helps. It's ridiculous, but I only practice it 20 minutes at a time. xd

I have so awful practicing peaces! It's very good if you're angree, then you open the door of the room and practice it and your parents wil be crazy, hèhèh!!
