*Red pulls out the siscors, and cuts the red tape*Painted Black, a place for you to post your poetry without the critics who put down your dreams of poetry, or the guys who say you are grammatically incorrect.
Rules: please don't stretch the page. If you have any poetry that is very long, please decrease text size to make it so that readers don't have to scroll down a lot to read it, or to get to the next poem. No bumping... that is already in the rules, but I just want that to be clear. No extreme criticism. you can give some constructive criticism to help out, but no grammar/spelling corrections, since any "mistake" might actually be under poetic license, saying that they are horrible, or just plain saying the poet themselves suck at it. No advertizing other threads/guilds/posts unless they are in your signature.

a poem by me dear friend who is moving away:
Rambling of a madman Stephen Stann
Im very metaphoric Theyve all said it. Oh you meant doors when you meant life choices! Well, how do you know? Youve never been in my mind? Have you? All I did was sit here. And Write. And breathe. And digest that pizza from lunch Or was it from breakfast?
Regardless, you swooped down on me, And said Oh your writing! Can I see? And I replied, quite the gentlemen, Oh! Why, yes. Here. Read this. My friends tell me its one of my best.
And you sit there, And read, And thought it through, And handed it back, And slowly replied, Youre very metaphoric
I laughed Of course I am! Who writes poetry without metaphors? But no, I replied Really? I had no idea! My voice oozes with sarcasm.
And now I sit here, I sit and write. And I say to myself, Metaphoric? Ill show them METAPHORIC!!!
And so I write on, Oblivious to my microwave, Which has just beeped, Telling me my mac and cheese is done. And so I go on, Very well knowing how metaphoric I am, And knowing just as much that I havent used, A metaphor at all.
Nope. I havent compared, Applesauce to quicksand Without like Or as.
Not I! But then, Who would believe me! After all, I always mean something else. Since I am Very metaphoric.

As I look to the past, I see much pain. Yet when I look at the present it begins again. In the past armies ransacked, piliged, and burned, And still in the present, what have we learned? Families are homeless, out on the street, While dictators conspire, steal, and cheat. Yet the world goes on, ignoring their transgression. Even with the appearance of violence and aggression. Why haven't we listened, why haven't we learned? Why haven't we stopped them, had the tide of history turned? Is this a cycle that we are doomed to repeat? Endless, moving, impossible to beat? Or is this a time for all of us to go, Take a stand for our beliefs, change history's flow.
