So, I think we have our own likes and dislikes about our OTPs and even out OTCPs. What we way view as non-crack or crack (and you can see our crack definitions in the "Define Crack" thread) may be different, but clearly there are some pairings that stray FAR from the borderline of crack and non-crack. For example, the ever-popular NaruSaku and SasuSaku. With all of the interactions here, saying that either is a crack pairing just doesn't make sense, even in the mildest terms.
Well, you've got your OTP. You've got your OTCP. They're different, alright (well, maybe they aren't for yourself, but I know that most people's are). They are your One Trues. Your favorites of them all!
But what would you prefer? Do you enjoy watching/reading and calling out that "Those two have been at it forever! Just GET TOGETHER, ALREADY!"? Are you excited that your favorite fan pairing seems like it's getting closer and closer to your dream of becoming canon (and by that, I mean those two characters can clearly say "He/She and I are MORE than friends.")?
Or do you rather play all of ideas in your head of those two characters that have never hardly talked to each other before? Maybe you're praying that in the near (or not-so-near) future of the series that maybe that girl or boy, and that girl...or other boy will FINALLY show even the slightest hint that maaaybe something could happen? Or are you not really THAT hopeful, because deep down you feel that crack is crack is crack, and the chance of them getting together is just too low?
What are YOU most cheering for? Your favorite non-crack pairing, or your favorite crack pairing?

My OTCP is SasuHina, and I would die of happiness if it happened. It'd just seem strange - I'm not really rooting for it to happen, but it'd be a nice change, a spice up from the ever so boring (for me, at least) NaruHina and SasuSaku.
But I really want NaruSaku to become canon. SRSLY.

Well, you know me, the ever so much SasuSaku/NaruHina fan. I have to seriously disagree with the boring thing (or course). I actually find NaruSaku very cliche. Not that it's bad. I just think that It's the main guy with the main girl, which is too overused.
For me, SasuTen could ONLY happen considering that they actually interact once, and being that Tenten really doesn't treat him like a fangirl, he would appreciate that. But it's crack, and the chances of it are so off.
I ADORE SasuSaku, though, and when it comes to putting Sasuke with Sakura, I'd put Neji and Tenten together, because I adore that pairing as well.
So I'm agreeing with MUCH rathering my OTP to become canon.

And plus, seriously - NaruSaku is the most well developed pairing in the entire series. It seems so amazinglu possible, and makes just so much sense you can't deny that the chances are higher than SasuSaku - AT THE MOMENT.

I don't like how much NaruSaku excludes Sasuke. ]: At least with SasuSaku, Naruto would have his glory, because 1.) Naruto's the main character, and 2.) Without Naruto, SasuSaku couldn't and wouldn't happen at all.

And that manifesto you told me about - I read over it, and was sorely disappointed. Perhaps because I had just about finished one of the best essays ever, (Because I Am Here, the NaruSaku Manifesto) and I felt it really didn't point out much of anything.
Yes, they admire each other. But I really cannot see Naruto falling in love with Hinata after everything he went through with Sakura.
At least it's not a love at first sight kind of pairing, like most cliched mainguy/girl pairings.
EXAMPLES: Kenshin/Kaoru was kind of like that. Inuyasha/Kagome. Miaka/Tamahome.
NaruSaku was worked on amazingly, and NaruHina is mostly hinted only with Hinata's feelings for Naruto, and Naruto's admiration for her.
I just can't see at the moment Naruto falling in love with Hinata, because there are just too many other things going around his life.
As for SasuSaku...Yes, Sakura cared for him in a romantic way in part one, but didn't he still outright reject her, even if he thanked her? And during that whole thing, Naruto accepted her feelings with a pained smile, realizing how much she really cared about Sasuke, and making the promise of a lifetime to bring him back.
Bonds don't get much stronger than that, whether they're romantic or not.
I'm not the kind to obsess over pairings that have a complete and utter chance of being canon. Before I became a pairing obsessive at all, I always thought NaruSaku was a health-based, sweet pairing. Simply, it made more sense than anything else to me.

I personally think that NaruHina, NaruSaku, and SasuSaku are so boring. I can't even look at them without vomiting. I also don't really agree with Lee/Sakura. Stupid. I like Lee/Hinata though... And Neji/Hinata (I wish Neji would just swallow his pride and admit that he loves her. Grr.). And Gaara/Sakura occasionally.

Ok I more towards my OTP then my OTCP...
My OTP is LeeSaku
and my OTCP is ShikaSaku.
I belive that LeeSaku has a way of being canon, but if it does not then NaruSaku. I will say that I do not like SasuSaku, but I do not mind that others like the pairing.

Meh, OTP is total NejiTen. But, my OTCP...Which I have decided to be KabuShizu at the moment...I'm actually surprised that I wouldn't be bothered if that actually happened. I mean, even my OTP, NejiTen, if that really happened, hate to say it, I don't think I'd like it as much as you think I would. But KabuShizu...Yeah.
And I can't say which one is better. OTP NejiTen for now. But OTCP KabuShizu is just really that cute!

Honestly, if any pairing became canon, I would really stop reading the series.
It'd be so hard to deal with.
Especially since every pairing close to it sort of ticks me off, or I just don't like it. (cept' ShikaIno, but whatever)
Plus, Kishimoto made the series for ACTION. It's a shounen, c'mon.
If it was a series meant for romance, it would be...shoujo.
That's a bit painful to think about, if you asked me. xD

I can see a few pairings becoming canon, like ShikaTem (which I LOVE), but my OTP is definitely SasuNaru, which has the smallest little chance of happening, but 99% likely won't, so... whatever. But me OTCP is ItaSaku, which I can never ever ever see happening outside of the fandom. So yeah, I just want SasuNaru to happen.

My OTP is SasoDei because...opposites attracting and height differences are HOT. And, it could've happened! You don't see too much terrible evidence otherwise! *hopeless romantic*
My OTCP is KankaGai. It just makes no sense and it could NEVER EVER HAPPEN. Actually, my anti-Naruto friend came up with it by pairing random names neutral Which is how all crack should happen!

My OTP is NejiTen....and I basically go crazy whenever I see a connection between the two... But I don't know.
I also like KibaTema a lot, that would probably be my OTCP at the moment. And the idea of Temari even having a small talk with Kiba makes me happy so... I'd prefer if KibaTema showed even a small hint over Neji and Tenten getting officially together.
