Welcome to the show!
General Stuff
1. No Spamming one thread about another's rp thread, Out-Of-Character thread, or anything else.
2. No Flaming. We treat each other with respect, regardless of who thinks what character is the best one ever, or if each other's characters are beating the snot out of one another in an RP. I have personally become friends with a excellent RPer who played Zorin Blitz against me...
3. No 1337 speak, n00b speak, or anything of the sort. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets a major headache when seeing those, right?
Creating (and Using) an RolePlay Thread
So you think you've got a story that could be done as a roleplay? Well, here are some things to keep in mind...
1. Category. Since this is a Hellsing-related Community, it's a given that a lot of these will be at least semi-Hellsing based. However, I know the difficulty of finding literate RPGs, so I've developed (in the process of developing, anyway) a code that must be put in your RP title. The Code (so far) is as follows:
HL = Hellsing Literate
OL = Original Literate
BA = Battle Arena
TL = Tavern (Bar, Inn, etc) Literate
H = Hellsing
O = Original
T = Tavern/Bar/Inn
S = Series (other than Hellsing)
If there are any other particular style/theme/show-manga-anime oriented RPs that want to be put together or you think should be added to the list, PM me. Otherwise this is what happens.

2.Opening Posts. I'll add this for general purpose anyway. It's reccommended that within your first post(s) you put up:
The Story (what is the current situation that the characters are in?)
Characters (Who is needed from the base story if it is a Hellsing/etc RP + the option for original characters if you want any allowed)
Rules (I make it available to you, the creator/writer, to hammer out exactly what you would like your people to act under. Each Mod will acknowledge these guidelines as long as they comply with what is set down here)
A link to the Out-Of-Character thread (if there is one. It's best to have one in my opinion, but it varies again on the writer)

I have seen Original Character descriptions posted in both RP threads and OOC threads. In order for RPs to run smoothly, they should be easily acessible and in one or the other. I also acknowledge that there are some RPs (like Battle Arenas and Tavern/Inns/whatnot) that don't need some of these. But with these particular RPs, I ask that a basic description be added of the place the RP takes place in.
3. Keep Out -of- Character talk to a minimum. This is why I suggest creating an OOC thread. More on that will be under the OOC guidelines.
4. NO GOD MODING WHATSOEVER. I know Alucard's a powerful Son-of-a-demon, but it'll take even him a few seconds to be able to regenerate a liquified body. Keep in mind that there are low-powered characters running around too, and I'm certain that one doesn't earn many friends when they kill everyone's characters.
Out-of-Character Threads
Simply put, these little beauties allow RP threads to converse between characters about the RP and show the status of open positions of the RP. OOC threads are generally created by the RP Creator/Writer (usually with the title of the RP thread and the letters OOC in the title), and have very little in the way of rules. A few guidelines are in order, though.
Follow common courtesy when using the OOC threads. This is the spot where we all communicate and plan strategy between allies...and enemies. If you're concerned about your character's actions against another, this is the place to discuss it with that person. If one is open to suggestions about their character or their actions, this is the place for it to. It's up to the Creator/Writer what he/she will do with the story, but sometimes they will answer questions in this thread.
OOC threads often start with a list of the Cast, with the names of each person next to their character and affiliation lists (if nessecary) This is also a place for the profiles of Original Characters. While it is up to the Writer what they want for the original characters, it's usually safe to say that a general physical description, attitude, affiliation, and whatever powers/weapons they carry are needed.
That's all I have for now....
