You can't 'grow out' of anime, because it normally takes the older generations to fully appreciate them. You can get tired of them, maybe but grow out?

Not growing out of it. Just having less time for it I think.
That or he's sick of Shinji Ikari type cast characters.
I don't think I'll ever grow out of Anime/manga though. What you said was right Rune.

I just don't feel like watching anime anymore.
Same goes for smash, it is growing quite...unfufilling nowadays.
