I have reason to believe that it dosen't exist. But I am unsure. Have people really been there or did they just dream it? Is it all psycosematic? Maybe there is no such thing as an astral plane and it is just our dreams. What do you think?

That's the mage in me coming out, my cognitive dissonance of sorts. We could be making it all up, but it doesn't matter because it works. Chaos magicians would be proud of me. *looks around* Josh? blaugh

People tend to make up terms that explain what they do. Sometimes, the terms and restrictions resonate with other people. The term comes into popular use. Doesn't make it an exclusive truth. Just look at it as one way of explaining things. I never use the term, but I respect some people who do. Why don't I use it? Because I call it something else. And even then, it's probably not identical. Different things work for different people.

I don't call it and I don't think of an astral plane, not like most people do, but when people I know end up affecting stuff on the plane, I have to say to myself, "Damnit, they are on to something."

I personally don't believe it to be another realm of existance. I see it as being more like our own world, but seen through the eyes of another. Ex. Me looking at the world from the perspective of an ant or a dog olr another person.

it would be hard to dream if it didn't exist but that aside people do have confirmation experience where they check some thing they saw in the astral plane and its did happen in real life

I for one experienced it before I knew it had a name and that other people could experience it.
Just indulge me and listen to a story about it. Whether or not you believe my story is up to you--I just want people to understand why I believe in something like this.
When I was in high school, a few of my friends started hanging out with older guys from their work. I wasn't that close to them, so I pretty much just nagged them about it and left them alone. Aside from that, there wasn't much I could do.
In any case, one Saturday night, I was out of my body as usual. At the time, I really didn't know why I'd leave my body, but I went along with it thinking it was just some kind of extra intense lucid dream. In any case, I ended up in a strange house. I saw two of my party-loving friends drinking with three guys. Somehow the guys separated my friends, and one of them ended up in a closet with one of the guys.
I could clearly hear her thinking, "Am I being raped...?" I was hovering above, and at that point I got scared and wanted to stop him, but this spirit held me back and said "You're not supposed to see this," and then took me back to my own home.
Anyway, the following day my friend called and confided in me about a "party" where she lost her virginity in a closet while she was drunk. She said she was thinking "Am I being raped?" when it was happening...I thought about the dream, but it was too ******** up to believe it was real, let alone for me to tell my friend (I never have told her).
So all the details from my "dream" really happened. Same two friends, the time of my dream matching up with the time of the incident, and number of guys (they call it a party, but really it's just a handful of people), the location, even what my friend was thinking.
My friend didn't get pregnant or get any STDs...but what happened only made her get even more into drinking and drugs because she wanted so badly to forget what happened. After that, I lost touch with her.
Anyway, that was just one of many similar strange astral experiences that made me really believe that there's something to it. Am I 100% sure? I'm never sure of anything. But from my own experiences, I can't possibly reject the idea completely.
