((This thread is primarily for Aisling and Kaleb to meet and RP a bit, but anyone can hop in if their Audio feels like taking a stroll through the park. =3 ))

It was a cold day, and although there was a cloudless sky and bright sun overhead, there was still snow on the ground. A layer of ice shone on the branches of the bare trees, and on the cleared pathways to make footing trecherous. It it all made the small local park glitter and sparkle.

Kaleb didn't mind all the snow, ice and cold, it was a good day for studying outside since there wasn't so much as a breeze to stir the pages of his textbook. He sat on his favorite bench at the park with his book in his lap and a pencil in hand, occasionally making notes on a sheet of paper tucked into the book's pages.

The cold was something that didn't much bother Aisling. While it was true that her reflective, almost glassy fur should have been absolutely freezing, she had heat and warmth and found no problem in strolling along through the park on this chilly day.

She hummed quietly and paused for a moment to look up at an ice-encased branch, marveling at the beauty that could come with this season of shivers. Then she went on her way - or tried to. The ice beneath her feet provided no traction and she yelped loudly as she found herself tumbling to the ground after a comical display of attempted balance.

It took a moment for recovery to occur, but there was definite pain when it did. A low whine came from Ais, and she sat up slowly to peer at one of her paws, finding it hurt to move it.

This, certainly, was not how she expected this walk to have gone.

Kaleb was so immersed in his book that he almost didn't hear the other Audio who had decided to visit the park that day. When he did look up, he almost missed her since she reflected the sunlight just as well as the rest of the scenery. When he did realize he was indeed looking at a young Audio who had slipped on the ice, he quickly closed his book.

"A-are you okay?" He asked hesitantly, fidgeting a bit with his paws as he waited for the female's reply.

A tiny gasp came from Ais. Who had spoken?

Her blue eyes lifted to peer up at the one who had asked if she was alright, widening slightly. "O-oh... I think so," she managed quietly, sitting up a bit more, making sure her hand didn't touch the ground for fear of hurting it more than it already was.

Kaleb smiled almost timidly. "I-I'm a healer, did you want me to look at it to make sure?" He tugged at the sleeves of his old, yet well cared for jacket, not wanting to force his help on her, but not wanting to leave her alone if she was hurt. From the way she was holding her paw, he suspected maybe she had slipped and fallen on it wrong.

Ais looked a bit surprised, before her gaze went to her paw, then back to the Audio that was offering her help. "Ah... that... that would be very kind of you," she said after a moment, giving him a shy smile in return for his timid one, beginning to carefully get to her feet to go over to him.

Kaleb's smile looked more relieved when she accepted his offer. The small healer quickly stood up and set the large book down on the bench where he had been sitting, and moved to meet her so she didn't have to use the paw if she didn't want to. His own feet hit a couple icy patches on the way, but he kept his balance pretty well.

Or he did at first, without warning the healer's feet slipped right out from underneith him when he was just a step away. With a startled yelp he fell onto his rear end next to her, and then blushed brightly. "S-sorry," he stuttered in an embarassed manner. At least it placed him within reach of the girl, so he just stayed where he was seated and reached out to hold his hand over her paw. It glowed for a second as he called up his magic, using it to examine the injury, and then quickly heal it.

"There," he said with a smile, still blushing a bit from his fall. "I-it should feel better now."

Ais paused when she saw that the boy was coming over to her, blinking a few times. Then worry flickered over her features as he slipped and she began to reach out to catch him, only to blink several times upon him landing beside her. "Oh, don't apologize... as long as you're all right," she murmured, smiling shyly again.

She fell silent as her attention focused on what he was doing, the soft glow flickering over her fur and causing her eyes to widen in wonder. Once finished, she carefully moved the paw, before smiling warmly. "It does... thank you, very much," she murmured, before pausing, then looking up at him with a crooked smile. "I'm Aisling. You can just call me Ais, or Ash, though... if you want."

"I-I'm fine, really." Kaleb said, blushing again as he adjusted his glasses on his nose. His fall hadn't ended up in anything worse than a bruise, and it would be a simple matter to heal if it bothered him. "I'm just glad I was able to help."

He fidgeted less when he caught her smile. "I'm Kaleb, pleased to meet you," the mage replied, offering a lopsided smile in return.

Ais smiled warmly and nodded once, before carefully getting to her feet and reaching out to help him to his feet again. "Most definitely. Thank you very much for helping me out," she said kindly, feeling a bit shy now. She had never met anyone else before...

Kaleb accepted the help, although it was more to be polite than because he actually needed it. It probably would have been better if he hadn't, because the ground was indeed slippery, and he seemed to get clumsier when he was somewhat nervous. He almost went down again, but caught himself with some well timed flailing. "S-sorry," he stuttered again, sheepish and blushing after he found his balance.

"A-are you just out for a walk today? It's nice weather, but it's a bit... slippery." Kaleb said in a concerned tone, glancing down at the ice under his feet. Although he was usually nervous when meeting new people, his healer's training was kicking in and he certainly didn't want anyone falling and hurting themselves. Again.

Ais squeaked in surprise and worry as the other almost slipped and fell, beginning to move to help him, only to realize that he had caught his balance on his own. "Careful there," she murmured, smiling up at him and perking her ears slightly.

Then she smiled broadly and looked around at the icy, snowy surroundings of the park. "I love the snow. It's a bit cold, but it's still lovely... I couldn't resist going for a walk."

Kaleb also smiled, although he wasn't so brave about it. "I-it is nice. I had to take my studying outside today, the scenery makes the cold worth it." He crossed his arms in front of him to trap in some extra warmth, something he didn't dare do while walking for fear of falling on the ice again. "I-I've never seen you around here though, are you new to the area?"

"Not very new... just... rather inclined towards secrecy," answered Ais, laughing sheepishly and shifting her weight a bit. Then she yelped as her feet slipped a bit, leaving her flailing until she regained her balance with sheepish laughter.

Kaleb made a move to catch her just in case she couldn't regain her balance on her own, but that caused him to slip a bit. "M-maybe w-we should sit down instead of standing here." He said, blushing brightly.
