I run openSUSE 10 with a Gnome front end. The computer is a Dell Latitude Pentium, III with 40GB HDD and 256 meg of RAM. I like it but setting up an MP3 player program seems to be quite difficult.

If you can install Amarok onto your gnome then you just have to add packman to your install source and it has the required plug-ins and add-ons to allow you to play MP3 file format, along with allowing you to burn cds with mp3.

I use SuSE at work it is 10.1 and I dont like it wery much it isnt the Linux I want to use but I have to use that or Window$ and I prefer Linux. Suse doesnt sucks but Yast is the thing I dont like much it is slow and written in Java and I dislike Java so that is the only - in suse for me razz otherwise It is ok distro razz .
I hope that I didnt make anyone angry or anything redface
Just wanted to tell you all that I use suse somewhere biggrin .
But KDE is bether at some point than Gnome but gnome is more plesent for users.

That is because you are running YaST though the GUI, you can also run YaST though the consel, which is 100 times faster because it doesn't have to load any images. About SuSE being an 'ok' Distro, SuSE is one of the first Linux distro's on the market starting with there 4.2 release (a joke from Hichhickers Guide).
Side note: everyone is entitled to here option, so there is really no need to worry about being sorry if you made anyone angry, if they can't take a little criticism on there distro maybe they should go back to windows.

hehhe vendion you are all cool. I know that suse is one of the first distros like debian, gentoo, slackaware and some other.
about yast yea probably I should use it in console biggrin . but I use it only at work.
I know that suse is one of the moust suported distros out there so it is cool to have it. but if you want to work wit your Linux suse isnt the best thiung out there there are slackware and Gentoo that are all about console and nothing more :d.

I don't really care for Gentoo, I "boughed" one of my friends laptops to try out Gentoo, and I really wasn't able to get into it. xd
And when I say "boughed" its more like I ran off with it for an hour, thats what he gets for logging in and just leaving it in the class room ninja

The only true way to see is if you install it, I don't see why not with your 2.55 GHZ processor
