Of course she is alive in spirit! When all people die, they go to the other side and do stuff. I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, so here we go.
My Grandma died a while ago. My little brother, age 3, who has a small form of what doctors think is autism, only met my Grandma a few times before she died.
Anyway, when Hunter, little brother, was laying in bed, he was reading a book, then "showing" the book to somebody. When I entered the room, I saw an orb, right before it disappeared.
Then, the next day, we were walking around the basement, which is unfinished, by the way. I was in my room playing video games, which is also in the basement, while Hunter was wandering the area saying, "Where did grandma go? Hello? Grandma?" He was obviously searching for "Grandma."

Woah, thats amazing. Hunter is deffinatly seeing your grandmother. Its no suprise to me, i have a similar story. When i was eight years old my nana died. A couple of days after my mother told me what happend to her sisters son, my little 3 year old cousin anthony. He was in their living room staring up at the blank wall. My aunt walked in and asked him what was he doing, he said that he is watching nana. He pointed at the wall close to the ceiling and said she's right there. My aunt told him something like, no baby she's gone, she's in heaven now. Anthony said , no she's right there.
I really belive that he saw her. Im just sad it didnt happend to me. But i think i know why, when i was a little girl i was terrified of anything supernatual, ghosts especially. So she probably new i would be scared. I think children are able to see ghosts of their loved ones because their minds are unpolluted and they belive what they are able to see.

That sounds really sweet. It sounds like your Grandma is just checking in on your little brother. Getting to know him because she can now. (Or something.) I didn't know my grandpa very well before he died because he had alzeheimers. I do feel a connection to him but I haven't had experiences with him. Though my mom has smellt his pipe.

Or maybe they just can't come to terms with the fact they can't see a loved one anymore. Little kids play pretend games and have imaginary friends, and let's face it, they aren't the most reliable source of infomation. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, bu "ghosts" are just a way of reassuring yourself that death isn't the end. Which it is. The images people see are usually tricks of the light, tricks of the mind through wanting to see someone through grief. Or just plain wanting to see a ghost. Otherwise, It's just the earths electromagnetic field "remembering" happy or sad or traumatic events. That's why you may feel depressed or happy in a supposedly haunted area. This can sometimes manifest itself as a image of the emotional time which has been recorded. Maybe little kids are more in tune with this field, but you can't talk to dead people. Well, you can, but they wont talk back. Death is it. The end. The big finish. No coming back. Depressing no? Life is just an accident, a way to carry on genetics.

I however dont belive a word of what you said. My cousin barley knew her, it would be odd for him to be talking about her.

That mat be your opinion, but I believe that death isn't the end and its only the beginning. I am terrified to die, but what I believe gives me comfort. And how do you explain when they talk to you? I have had to listen to screams of death and hatred(ihopethatshowyouspellit) and murders. Now really tell me how you explain that? Not to be rude cause we friends.
