Title: Stolen
Characters: Sawyer, Claire, Charlie, Boone, and Sayid
Sawyer laid down on a worn out beach chair he often would relax in. He allowed the hot sun to beat down on him. The distant noise of Claire giggling made his eyes flutter open. Her and Charlie’s conversation began to get louder enough to make Sawyer mad.
He grinded his teeth and frowned and lifted up his head. It took him a moment to adjust to the light so he blinked several times. Instead of looking at Claire and Charlie ranting he looked at her tent. Every thing was neatly piled, just like a roomy house. Sawyer saw a nice pricey looking mirror.
Sawyer stood up, stumbling a bit to get a better look at it. He glanced at Charlie and Claire. They ain’t looking. Sawyer thought to himself and grabbed the surprisingly heavy mirror and put it behind his back. He began to walk back to his chair but the temptation to take something else was too strong for Sawyer to handle.
On the floor of Claire’s tent, there was a pile of Oceanic brand water bottles sitting in the shade. Sawyer felt his own mouth water at the sight of it and looked back at his own pile of bottles. One was half empty and the other empty, the plastic slowly melting in the sun.
Sawyer quickly ran back to Claire’s tent and snatched the water bottles. He threw each one into his own pile and quickly scanned her tent once more. He saw several bracelets scattered in the sand. He quickly picked them up and blew of the sand violently.
Before he left he grabbed a book in which Claire was currently reading, even Sawyer knew that due to the book mark left in the middle.
Sawyer happily and casually strolled back to his place and hid Claire’s belongings. He smirked as he watched Claire get back to her tent. Immediately, Claire seemed to know something was wrong.
She panicked searching through her bags and looked up at Sawyer finally. Sawyer smiled as she watched her walk towards him. “Did you see anyone come in my tent?” Claire asked kindly and concerned. Sawyer looked at her, the sun made her hair appear white and he shook his head. “Nope. Why?” Sawyer questioned leaning back in his chair even more.
“I’m missing a few things. I was just wondering if you saw anyone or…” Claire begun to say but stopped when she saw her book sticking out of Sawyer’s bag. Sawyer closed her eyes noticing Claire’s long pause. “Go on.” Sawyer said unaware of Claire’s finding.
“You took my book.” Claire said annoyed and put a hand on her hip. Sawyer’s eyes instantly opened and looked at Claire. “Give it to me Sawyer.” Claire continued concentrated on Sawyer’s bag. Sawyer sat up. “Do you mind I’m reading it?” Sawyer said in a sly tone and smiled.
“Well yeah I do mind! I mean you can’t just go in my tent and take something without my permission Sawyer.” Claire quickly responded. She glanced at Sawyer’s collection at water bottles, which seemed to double the last time she looked at it. “Are those my water bottles?” Claire angrily said.
Boone who was walking down the beach about ready to head down into the jungle with Locke witnessed this whole thing. It was the right time for him to speak up. He ran to Sawyer and Claire taking the book out of the bag and turned around and handed it to her. “Here you go Claire.” He said and watched her take the book from him.
“What the hell are you doing?” Sawyer asked standing up to Boone’s level. His nostrils flared as he looked into his eyes. “You took her book. You didn’t even try to sneak it, I saw you!” Boone explained and frowned making him self seem stronger than Sawyer.
“And these water bottles?” Boone said picking them up and handing them to Claire. “What makes you think their hers and she’s just too lazy to get her own?” Sawyer said looking directly at Claire. “She’s pregnant! You took water from a pregnant woman, that’s low.” Boone argued and looked back at Claire motioning her to go back to her tent.
“Yeah well a guy has to drink too.” Sawyer mumbled sinking down in his seat again. “Your sick.” Boone quickly responded glancing into Sawyer’s bags. “Did you take anything else?”
Sawyer shot up and closed his bag. “That ain’t any of your business.”
“No. But it’s hers!” Boone said taking his focus off the bag and back at Sawyer.
“Then why isn’t she here?” Sawyer said looking back at Claire who was witnessing Sawyer and Boones conversation.
“Leave her alone man!” Boone said pushing Sawyer with his hands so he almost stumbled over his chair.
“You want to fight with me boy?!” Sawyer said shoving him back so hard he fell into the sand.
Sawyer gave Boone a few punches to his face. Boone struggled to get to his feet the sharp intense pain caused his ears to ring. He couldn’t get out of Sawyer’s grip until Sayid broke up the fight.
“That is enough!!!!” Sayid shouted as loud as he could. He took both of Sawyers arms and pushing them away. Sawyer managed to get a few more pathetic punches but started missing as he was slowly pulled away from Boone.
“He took things from Claire!” Boone managed to say still on the ground putting a hand on his jaw, where it hurt the most.
“Is that true?” Sayid said looking suspiciously at Sawyer.
Sawyer remained silent catching his breath and held his head.
“Well?” Sayid questioned impatiently.
“Well I’m screwed now ain’t I?” Sawyer said finally admitting it.
