PLOT Earth has long since died and in its place was born a new world. The few humans that have survived have been altered slightly. Some can breath in space while some can breath in water. Others have animal like body parts such as eyes, ears or a tail. Some can small or hear like an animal. All of them are kids between the ages of five and eighteen. They have a new world to create and raise their children in; can they do a better job then their families? Can they keep the Earth alive longer then their parents did?

RULES 1: Be lit! I will kick you out without a warning if you aren’t. When I say lit I mean no actions in ** and when you talk please put it in “”. Also try to spell as best as you can. I know we aren’t perfect and we make typos. Try to catch them by proof reading but I don’t care that much. No leet of chatspeak. Yes that means no lol or OMG! 2: When you’re out of characters please talk in (()) (Yes you can use chatspeak in these.) 3: No put-downs. They’re may be way someone does something that you don’t like. I won’t take that! If they say something just ignore it. It’s not like they’re right next to you. 4:For couples I am allowing any kind. Yes that means Yaoi, Yuri or Het. I MAY allow some incest/twincest. 5:NO CYPERING! Keep it PG-13 please. Kissing and some touching is allowed but try to keep it fairly low. 6: Have FUN! 7: More rules can be added as I see fit.

Two short black ponytails bounced slightly as leather clad feet landed lightly on the hard ground. The air coming out of the girl's pink lips could be seen in a type of mist as she ran. She wipped the sweat out of her soft green eyes with the top of her red chinese styled shirt. She was clad for the black pants covering her legs on the cold morning. Mai-lin gripped the dagger as she ran, in case the tiger she was running from caught up.
She dodged yet another tree and winced when she felt a rock under her foot. She hated the woods but that was all that seemed to be on the new Earth. She could smell the tiger and started to get worried, if her fox smell was able to catch the scent of the big cat then she was in trouble. She skided to a stop and turned around to face the tiger, pulling out the dagger so it could be seen.
The tiger was at the other side of the clearing she had just crossed and growling at her. "Look! I'm sorry! I didn't know she was your cub! We need to eat too. I'm sorry!" Her voice rang out clear and smooth, almost sly like a fox's. The tiger just growled and looked like it was about to lunge at her.

A sound in the treetops made her start and look up. There was a girl in the branches - her hair was long and dark. It whipped around her as she leapt from the tree, limbs spread out. To Mai-lin's surprise, she landed on all fours, drawing upright after she hit the ground. She appeared unharmed, even though the jump had been fearsome. The tiger shied and growled at her. The girl's back was to Mai-lin, and she couldn't see what she had done, but suddenly the tiger bared its teeth, then turned around and stalked away.
The girl turned, and revealed two velvet-black cat ears hidden in her hair. Her eyes were yellow and slitted. "Hello," she said and Mai-lin readied her dagger. "I'm Leyla."

"What did you do to make her go away?" Mai-lin remained tense. She was used to the strange phenomenons that gave people new powers in this post-apocalyptic world, but she was unsure whether this girl was a friend or foe.
Leyla tossed her hair. She was dressed loosely in black. A winking emerald hung around her neck, and thick-soled combat books crunched the leaves at her feet. "I asked her to forgive you for killing her cub." Mai-lin gave a silent sigh of relief. She still felt kind of bad about that. "You must understand," Leyla went on. "It's not easy for her to just let her cub go like that."
"I understand." Mai-lin nodded heavily and offered her hand, which Leyla gingerly shook. "My name is Mai-lin."
Leyla smiled. "Beautiful-bell. That's a lovely name."
