Liberty found a full shady tree in the park and sat under it to escape the sun.
She had decided to escape the roost for a little while, it was getting rather crowded in there. She wandered how the phoenii with larger roosts coped with all the other phoenii around.
Being very glad to find a tree on the outskirts of the park, she watched the other phoenii playing closer to the center of it and smiled.

Cerus lifted his head and took a deep, refreshing breath. It was a beautiful day, the sun warming his feathers. He settled himself down beside the pond and lapped up the clear water. This place was perfect, and should be fully appreciated, as he appreciated it. Cerus stood up again and shook his head, his neck feathers rustling.
"Maybe some shade and a nap... "

Liberty continued to survey the park, lettin gherself fully relax, convinced she was safe sitting where she was.
"Hopefully no one will see me here..."
She sighed happily and slowly let her eyes start to close

Cerus looked over at the tall lush trees and smiled. "Perfect shade under there..." He padded over happily, whistling and chirping happily with his eyes closed.
"La la laa la la-WHOA!" Cerus yelped as he felt himself trip over something feathery and land beak first in the grass.

Startled from her nap, Liberty woke up to see a mess of dark blue feathers covering her eyes. "What the??"
Standing and taking a step back, she looked at the other phoenii carefully and hoping he wasn't hurt, she reached out a wing to him, "Are you okay?"

Cerus jumped to his feet as fast as he could, nis nares bright red. "Uh-uh, I'm fine.... thank you..." He looked at the Phoenii he had tripped over and his blush darkened.

Noticing the red coloring on the blue phoeniis feathers, Liberty looked over him carefully, "Are you sure? I wouldn't like it if you were hurt."
She slowly dropped her wing and took a deep breath, this male phoenii was beyond cute...

Cerus straightened himself up and tried to look as dignified as possible. "I-I'm fine... My pride is a little hurt..." He grinned a little. "Oh! Where are my manners.... My name is Cerus..."

Cerus raised his crest. "Liberty eh? Pretty name for a pretty lady..." She grinned slightly before ruffling his feathers.

Libertys normally light blue face flushed red at his comment. she watched him ruffle his feathers and perked her head up a bit.
"You really think so? My mother gave me my name because of my coloring..." She trailed off, realising she was rambling to try cover her nervousness

Liberty blushes deepy. "Yea, you caught me... Just needed to get away for an afternoon. I live in a pretty busy nest."
She tilts her head and looks at him with a grin, "So what's your excuse for being here?"

"I was looking for somewhere to nap... But now that I have indeed embarrassed myself in front of a pretty lady, perhaps, I can spend my day being more productive, say, getting to know you a little better?" He grinned, suddenly feeling cocky.
