Man, I'd forgotten about this one, too! I wonder if the show had anything to do with making Castlevania games with different Belmonts...

Interesting I guess, though, I hate anything with a marked reference to Mario. So yeah, whilst ive seen quite a lot of it, the pipes made it hard for me to enjoy ><

Obscure marketting, also Capcom owned the rights to Megaman and at the time they had some peculiar views on copywriting. The allowed the use of the name because they didnt want to lose out on the chance to get a heads up on all the other "big game heroes" but they chance him a little to make him different. Oddly this made him fairly accessible to the audience. IN a croaky, Ive smoked way to much kind of way crying
