If you're writing a book, would you make it a one-time thing or keep going with a series of several adventures?? question

It would depend on what type of story it is. If it's something that's meant to be short I would keep it as one book. If it's something that could definately have more to it then I'd make it into a series.

Depends. I hate series spinoffs that happen because of popular demand and not because the story has to be extended. In my story now, it'll probably only be a one-time thing. Of course, I'll most likely reuse the characters. I already RP with them all the time, and I could make a few short stories or even another novel about their histories or something. Who knows?

I have a tendency to make series. I just get too use to characters usually make their entire lives one long story. Actually part of a very, very long story. And since all my stories are in the same universe, they are all one story because they affect one another. Very realistic, right?

It depends on the story, it can't seem drawn out or people won't want to read it all.

Yea, but things that are incrediblly long and aren't drawn out need to be series, right?

If you write a single, long book but it has multiple plotlines, then you can find where one plot ends and make the sections that are cut out books in themselves. A good author knows when their story is done, and will refuse to extend on it just for the sake of the fans. Of course, a good author also knows whether or not their book needs to be a series or not.
