I think I got one once.... ******** sucked a**. I was down as hell, but I had energy to do stuff. <-- Dangerous.
My mother is bipolar, and she's in one now. She went away on a vacation thing a few days ago, but before that when I was at her house, I had to check up on her and cook for her and stuff, she was a wreck. I had a few people I was suppsed to call if s**t went bad. My father, for one, and her psychiatrist. I also had to make sure she took her meds. Mrrrr, then I had my own issues on top of it. Fun s**t. =/

Yeah, I'm actually in one right now.... My first one bad enough for me to actually notice it, really....
And then my best friend went and PISSED ME OFF today about my bpd, saying that all teenagers have it, to some extent, and I'm thinking If it's bad enough that I'm slitting my wrists because you didn't eat lunch with me because you had to write a paper, there's something wrong. That was almost five hours ago, and I'm still STEAMING. *mutters curses*
Yeah, it's really crapola... Been like this since thursday, so i'm hoping it'll end soon, as I'm going to canada on the 4th of july... xd I LOVE that fact....

At the risk of reviving a VERY dead thread...
Mixed episodes are true buggers. There have been several occasions where I'm happy as a lark, but have this deep, deep desperate drive to kill myself. It's rather odd. >_<

I'm happy all day long and then I get home at night and sometimes I just cry. crying

...Agreed. I was totally enjoying my day (a week or so ago), and then I just crawled into bed, sobbing, for no real reason...

None of my teachers know of my multitude of mental unstabilities and issues, so whenever I'm manic or depressive or mixed, they get angry at me. Whores.

My mixed episodes are scary. I'll start out in the euphoric mania and then it goes so far that you are in the mania that is the nerve-wrecking, eyes wide and crazy type. Add on top of that sevre shaking, crying and trying to rip through your skin to remove SOMETHING is scary.

I get this. Not as severely as some of you, I don't think. Its so ******** awful though! I'll be so depressed, but still really really energetic at the same time which usually leads to me getting really desperate and doing stupid things.

I get mixed episodes more often then straight manic ones. I agree they are scary and definitely the most dangerous, especially with that desperation!
For me, during a mixed phase the risk of me hurting myself raises dramatically. Thankfully I've noticed that most of the time making art, if I can manage it, helps me deal with all that energy and those depressive thoughts in a much more productive way. Art is usually about the only vaguely productive thing I can do during manic phase. I'm very lucky to have a supportive boyfriend/room mate who can look after everything else.
I'm not sure about triggers though, as when I have a mixed episode it's not like I was manic or depressed before hand.
Does anyone else know what triggers it for them?
