I, personally, love Stroud. I can't spell his book titles, and I won't even try. I also liked A Scanner Darkly, though it was very confusing.
So, how about you?

For me, Very simple question. Edger Allan Poe. My friend got his complete works for Christmas. And I adore Steven King. And I'm a true fan of Shakespear. Tami Hoag. Her books amuse me.

I love-love-love Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter (vampire) novels. The one about Wren is my favourite. I also like Christine Feehan as well. Her vampire books are pretty cool, to, but she just can't bring the humour like Kenyon. I'm totally into supernatural romances, or any romance novels, really, but right now, I've been reading a series about the Fae. It's wicked cool. James Patterson's Maximum Ride series is also pretty good..
Erm. Moving on. I like manga. Technically, they are books. My faves are...well, all of them. I'm such a geek. Outside of Gaia, reading is pretty much all I do, so there are just too many authors and books I like to put them all here.

I like Sci-fi books, like things from Ray Bradbury or Frederick Pohl. I also had a HUGE Jules Verne obsession.
I'm currently reading "Beyond the Blue Event Horizon" by Frederick Pohl. If you ask me, He is a pretty kick a** writer!
I will also read manga from time to time, if that counts.

I love Edgar Allan Poe's works. ^^ I got his collected works for Christmas. ^^ I also like most other things like books/stories about Medieval times, as well as about magic.

My aunt allways buys me really good books from austrailia (she lives there), but i don't know who they're by. Well, they're all from different authors. But they are very good. I tend to like books with a twist. And not just a little twist, I'm talking a huge, change the whole plot, blows your mind, 'who would have guessed that?!?!' twists.

Books aren't good if they don't have a twist.

I. Love. Harry Potter. heart Not ashamed to admit it. I've loved Harry Potter since I was a wee little squirt, and I'm still hanging on JK Rowling's every word today.
I also enjoy Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, and I need to get around to reading Queen of the Damned. And I like Lord of the Rings. I read the first half of Fellowship of the Ring in sixth grade, and sometime thereafter I ended up purchasing one huge book (seriously, it's about as thick as my arm) containing the whole trilogy. I think I had the whole trilogy done before I went into ninth grade (I'm in tenth now). Yeah, I must have. Because I got all three movies for Christmas in 2004 and I think I'd read all of the books by then.... Or maybe not... Bah, I'm confused.
Over the summer, I read The Hunchback of Notre Dame for summer reading. I like it, even though it's sad at the end. I've also read a few books in school that I liked. In third grade, I read Bunnicula, which has to be the most adorable vampire story EVER. It's about a family who finds a bunny when they went to see Dracula, and they name it Bunnicula. The cat suspects that Bunnicula is a vampire because all the vegetables seem to be turning white and juiceless. It's so cute. 4laugh I also enjoyed Alice in Wonderland when I read it in eighth grade, and I want to read Through the Looking Glass.
Also, if we're discussing manga: I like Chobits and Fruits Basket. And I need to expand my manga collection.

I discovered a new manga that I like. Tis called Chibi Vampire. It's about this girl, Karin Maaka, and how she's a vampire who gives blood to other people instead of taking it from them. She's got a special condition where the amount of blood in her body increases around a certain time each month and if she doesn't give it to someone else, she'll have an uber-nosebleed.
