But yeah, my guess would be more into the 1995-ish. When did Chat Room Became Poppular? Must be around that time.
By he way, you do know Lol means "laughting out loud" (some people says it ment Lots of Laughts but I like the first on emore) Right?

Only two weeks. I wasn't home that's why. Celebratign Xmas alone is boring! me and My boyfriend went back to his hometown and staid at his house there and I didn't have acces at a computer since was actually where we live and his mother's is a big "no touch!"

It's actually not just a random number. Looking through old Usenet archives, that's as far back as people have been able to find "lol" used. Before that, it either wasn't used or wasn't used very much (and virtually not at all on the internet).
