does anybody here have an interesting, or funny, method of reading Shakespeare once in a while? I am all for enjoying the work in a serious manner, but sometimes reading the work in a strange way is quite a bit of fun! I like reading all of Romeo's lines as if he were Bill and or Ted from Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. somehow it just works... also, adding the phrase, "in bed" to the end of every line or sentence can be fun. I am thy father’s spirit, in bed Doom’d for a certain term to walk the night, in bed And for the day confin’d to fast in fires, in bed Hamlet. ACT I Scene 5. see what I mean?
many of you have probably already done this, but I still thought it would be fun to start a thread and see what new and interesting ones people use. have fun posting!

I don't Know if this is intresting or funny or not but sometimes when I read it I get so into it that I start acting it out while I'm reading it. Sometimes it will get to where I stand up and start saying it to some random person and they'll give me a look thats saying "what drug are you on?" and I 'll keep reciting it to them and they start freaking out,....badly.

It's rather funny to hear Shakespeare read in different accents. When I was in Hamet, one of the actors had a think Indian accent. It was interesting to hear her say her lines before she started using an american accent. My favorite, though was Shakespeare with a Texas accent. It sounds so odd.

I have never heard Shakespeare with a thick Asian accent. It might be interesting, though.

I've acted out hamlet for my friend last year. she had to read it for a class but couldn't understand it. so she sat back and watched me act out the whole thing.
