LOVE is said to be something that would save your soul from redemption, from eternal unhappiness. Save you from something only Satan could curse upon your very soul. Many have looked for love since young thinking that life would be great and support was only an arms length away. But there are other that see love as the very thing that curse the earths ground. Music was redemption, a soothing balm on the cracked surface of your soul. Ingulfed in music, a black void to the world. Can happiness really come from that?
ONE Earth with millions of different music, millions of souls. Some sooth and some create a small high. And some try to send a message out to the world. In a world full of melodies, what can really make you happy love or lyrics? So dependant are you on material things that when asked, avoiding is the best answer. What then can you do, life doesn’t wait.
NO one knows the limit of feelings, but Bands are at a limit. Choose, for it takes one rock to cause ripples on a fickle surface.
KOBE. A place of restless sleep for the restless. A city of many dreams and no passion. A hollow shell of a city with lighted streets and vendors full of music. To which this story begins, that’s not for me to choose, but for the ignorant, this is where it flickered. A town with ghost wipers of music that once haunted the streets, and now was the next bed time story. Music had forsaken this town, left on the next Trane to Tokyo with the ones that had first brought taste to music.
THIS town hadn’t always been like this, music floated through the streets like an evening breeze, bringing color to dull times. Four men had created a band in this very town once, bringing life to its inhabitants. But soon the life left on the same Trane that took the four boys away. Betrayed. That’s what they said, the betrayed the town in a lust for bigger highs. They wanted the fame and money that debuting in Tokyo could bring, and doing so cut out the small town of Kobe out of their lives. Names changed, identities as fake as plastic.
THE town had again lost life full of color and now stirred in dark streets. New youths grabbed for the chance to make the town right again. Bent on making sure that justice was paid to those who were wronged. Four new youths decided to bring justice back to music, to….happiness. XXX was something created out of revenge, was it ok to make something pure tainted? But, intentions were good, if that’s enough to save music; then support was held out with open hands from society. Challenge was something that you cant run away, shadowing your actions like a bad smell. Only the toughest hearts can put barriers strong enough up and strive forward.
AND thus this is where I said it would begin. I didn’t say it was a happy beginning like fairytales, because its not a fairytale, its….life.

Biographies Band: XXX Kamenashi Kazuya Age: 20 Gender: Male Role: Manager to XXX
He's a perfectionist. And punctual. Everything needs to be done on time, done right, and there must not be any mistakes. One little thing gone wrong and he begins to freak out. He does like to have fun though...when the work is all done. He is a kind individual but is not one to be messed with at the same time. Age: 22 Akanishi Jin is the drummer of XXX. He maintains a normally cool exterior when performing onstage, but is also incredibly dorky at times, when hanging out with his friends. The two opposing sides of his personality make him difficult to handle at times, but at the same time undeniably lovable. He is not shy about how he feels or what's on his mind, and in relationships he has been considered a little TOO blunt and headstrong. His friends have nicknamed him "Bakanishi". Tatsuya Ueda Age 23 Tatsuyta is the lead guitarist in XXX. Passion is something he brings out in the music he plays. As a child he had always loved musical things, driving his very parents crazy with music. If ever there were a time they were regreting buying a guitar it was then. Determination to beat the band that ruined his city is what he feeds on. So you could say hes emo. wink Aya Hinouchi Age 21 Aya is the lead singer in the band XXX. In high school she was quite the tom boy, instead of boys picking on here she would pick on them. It was a fearsome sight to behold. As she grew up she became friends with 4 unlucky people. And thus this is where she came in. And now, its not tom boy its to little clothes... Koyama Keiichiro 21 years old Male Koyama Keiichiro is the childish, fun, loving and loveable bassist of the band XXX. He’s never serious when it comes to practices and rehearsals. But when it comes to the real thing, he’s always more than ready to face the crowd. Keii can get along with anyone. He hates fighting, is not stubborn at all, and he has the ability to see things from different perspectives. People tend to judge him as someone totally carefree and irresponsible but it’s not really the case. He enjoys many things. One of his loves other than music is his love for any kind of feline. Whether it be cats or tigers, he’ll like ‘em anyways. He owns a kitty named Nyanta. When you get to know him, you’ll see that sometimes he isn’t the happiest person...Something always seems to be missing in his life. And throughout what he calls his ‘rock odyssey’ he is determined to find the missing piece. Band: HEY-U Nakamaru Yuichi Age: 23 Manager of HEY-U
Maru is an easy-going and laid-back type of manager, and lets his band usually do what they want, though when the time calls for it, he goes through with his job and makes sure everything that needs to get done gets done. He likes to beatbox in his free/spare time and enjoys singing himself, though likes his position as manager and always says he would rather be watching over the boyband instead of being in it. He can get strict at times when the band is at its low points but deep down he cares for the members deeply and would stop at nothing to help bring them back up again to their full potential and happiness. One of his favorite snacks is red Jello in a cup. Name: Tegoshi Yuya Age: 19 Innocent, adorable, and 100% sugar-sweet. Yuya is the lead singer to the popular rock band HEY-U. Yuya is known for being cheerful, loving, and always having a smile on his face. He's an easy person to befriend, and perceptive of other's feelings. In bad times he may tend to worry a bit, but tries to look on the bright side and be optimistic. He has a voice like butter and sings with all his power. Music, and especially singing, is something Yuya has always loved and something that is very important to him. He always tries his hardest, and can become very serious while on stage sometimes. Of course, Yuya feels he wouldn't be able to do any of it if his bandmates weren't up there with him. Taguchi Junnosuke Age: 21 Gender: Male Junno is the drummer of the popular band HEY-U. He is known by his fans as the cheerful boy with an "invincible" smile that shines and makes anyone around him happy. He is at his happiest when performing on stage feeding off of the pulsing beat within himself and the excitement his bandmates and fans give off. Although his band has been a great success, he senses something wrong within his band... and he feels something wrong within himself.
 Nishikido Ryo Age: 22 Gender: Male Ryo is the lead guitarist of HEY-U. * Recently nursing a broken heart after the departure of his long-time boyfriend, he is brooding and somewhat introverted. He masks his insecurities with pride. He is blunt to the point of being dubbed "poison-tongued" by fans, but his friends and bandmates know that he does not have ill intentions. Most of the time, anyways.

Asaka Koudai Age : 14 Gender : Male Role : Make up artist / Special effects manager for HEY-U Bio : Asaka Koudai, or "Dai" for short, is very young for his occupation, though with hard work and perserverence was able to attain it. He looks up to all of his sempais in the Japanese rock music business and hopes to one day be like them by moving up using his experience as their make-up artist and working behind the scenes with special effects in the performance. When not helping HEY-U look all pretty and shiny for the stage, he is usually off by himself, working on his dance steps and practicing different songs to strengthen his voice. His long term goal is to create his own Japanese rock band and stand as its proud lead vocalist, up front, live, and able to please many people around the world.
Reporters
 Kato Shigeaki Age: 20 Gender: Male Nosey and strong boned. Thats usually what reports were, well ones that get to the heart of storys, no BS is included. Kato was brought up in a family where if you had clothes on your back you were rich, and morals were as good as yesterdays trash. But, seeing as he is a reporter Kato didnt really need morals. But is this really something that is bad, or to strive in life do you have to resort to such measures just to feed yourself? That is one of lifes many questions...
 Okura Tadayoshi Age: 21 Gender: Male Ohkura is a 21 year entertainment reporter. He works at KOBEvisions TV company with his friends Yasuda and Yamapi. He normally spends his time hanging out with his friend Yasuda, or at concerts. He appears to be very cool and calm. He plays the drums as well as sing but doesn't allow anyone to see it. He doesn't like dumb people, especially dumb girls.
Others
 Naima Age:22 Gender: Female Japanese/Italian. She transferred to the University of Tokyo, Japan when she 19 was from Johns Hopkins University, SAIS Bologna Center, Italy. She currently works at Kobe University Hospital as a Neurologist. She spends a lot of her time at the Hospital in her office doing research and collecting data. Although Naima is from Italy she spent her summer and school breaks in Japan at her grandparents house. She is good childhood friends with Ueda Tatsuya who is a member of XXX and Ohkura who has been her neighbor for the past 3 years.
 Tomohisa Age: 22 Gender: Male Yamapi the 22 year old Entertainment Director works in KOBEvisions entertainment department. He is in charge of what reports people do, what appears on TV, and keeping ratings high. He has seen going out on company dinners a lot. Often people will confuse him as a host or suggest that he becomes a host. He isn't good at making people laugh and doesn't like to be alone. He is very competitive and seen competing with different departments. Other than work, he lives a very relax lifestyle. He puts his all into his work but doesn't believe in over working.
 Yasuda Shota Age: 22 Gender: Male Enthusiastic, energetic, and (somewhat) androgynous is the short Yassan. He, too, works at KOBEvisions, but unlike his best friend Tacchon, he is a camera man. Be it video or photo, he reaps in evidence for the latest scoop. People are generally receptive when the blonde young man asks for a photo or two, and are drawn to his naturally friendly disposition. Despite working in an industry out to make or break rising stars, he maintains the fresh feel of innocence and youth. Yasuda is an excellent guitarist, but prefers to stay behind-the-scenes.
 Taguchi Taiyo Age: 15 Gender: Male Taiyo is the younger brother of Junno, a member of the band HEY-U. He's a bit quiet and shy, except when it comes to his friends; then he's more outgoing. He admires his brother a lot, and always wants to help him in anyway he can. His best friend is Hikaru, and appears to be very close to him.
 Yaotome Hikaru 16 years old Male Yaotome Hikaru is one of Taiyou’s mates. He is a playful one, and is very open-minded. At times, he can spazz and become awkwardness King. Wait...at times? More like sometimes always! Hika is a very joyful person no matter what happens. Well, it depends on situations. He’s close to HEY-U because of Taiyou, his best friend, since the boy is Junnosuke’s, the drummer of HEY-U, younger brother. Also, he is familiar with XXX’s bassist, Koyama Keiichiro, because they have been neighbours for as long as he could remember. The only thing he doesn’t know: the two bands, HEY-U and XXX, are rivals... That secret will not soon be revealed to him though, just like one secret he dares not tell anyone; said secret is that his parents are quite abusive with him. He has never told anyone this, but decides to keep it to himself.
 Yabu Kota Age: 17 Gender: Male Yabu is a big fan of J-rock/pop, especially when it comes to XXX and HEY-U. He sings all the time, hoping to improve so that his voice matches his idols'. His friends describe him as "extremely obsessed" and "wasting his time", but Yabu never seems to notice. After all, becoming a singer and meeting his idols is the biggest goals in his life. Luckily, he's friends with Taiyo, a sibling of one of his favorite band's members...

"Questo è penoso!" -This is troublesome!- Naima stared at the computer screen gnawing on her pencil trying to detect what medical error her professor could not find. It was like this everyday, staring at computer screens, face planted into books, medical records, and data that the professor pushed on her.
"Infastidire! -Annoying!- She said as she ran her fingers wildly through her hair. She slammed the pencil down on her desk, just as one of her fellow doctors walked into the office. She glanced up to see who was standing in front of her desk. Mika-senpai.
Mika-senpai and Naima worked on the same medical team. From the time Naima started working at Kobe University, she and Mika never really saw eye to eye. It was like a competition. Mika being the leader and been there the longest, was use to getting what she wanted, but when Naima came into the picture, the fresh new young face, things turned ugly. Neither could deny that the others skill in their line of work was great. Naima and Mika were apart of the only female-only neuro-team.
Naima looked back at the screen and continue to search through the data. "What?" she said to Mika. Mika turned around and started to walk back towards the door. "Scrub up. We have work to do." Mika said and walked out of the door. Naima stared at the door for a minute or two. "As if I’m not doing work now." Naima fixed her hair before walking out the door behind Mika.
As Naima scrubbed up she read through the medical record of the patient she had to operate on as fast as she could. 27 years old...Japanese male...Tremor disease...Thalamotomy...motor and sensory skills has decreased 16% in the past 1.5 years... "Damn it, why do I have to do this....Okay...breathe." Naima thought to herself. She walked into the operation room behind Mika. They bowed to the nurses and wished each other good luck.
"Matte...Chotto matte...Why are doing this?" as girl called out as she ran to catch up with the brown hair boy. He stopped abruptly and turned around to face her. "Because it's my job. Good day." he said to her flashing a big smile. She stood there speechless and she watched the boy get into his car. My boss is going to kill me... the girl thought and ran back to the building they had just walked out.
Her boss is going to kill her. Ohkura thought to himself as he sat in the car. Oh well. Not my job to monitor what she says. Getting an interesting story is my job...Nice girl though, but with a big mouth." Ohkura said to himself as he started the car.
He had just finished Interviewing 'Hideaki Takizawa' who seemed very boring at first. When Ohkura asked his assistant something while Tackey was out, he found out some very interesting stuff. To bad he forgot to remind her she was on camera.
Ohkura put on his sun glasses as he drove in his all black Cadillac. His hair blew in the wind because his window was down. Too cool.
""Majide?!"...How interesting. Sure, I’ll be delighted to join." I did it again. Sat myself up for another boring company dinner with the managers of celebrities. The things I have to put up with to get a story. Yamapi thought as he put down the phone. He spun around in his chair to face the big window that took up the whole wall, that was behind his desk.
He pulled his hair out of his face and sighed. knock knock knock Yamapi let his hair go and turned his chair back around before saying enter. Konnichiwa. The president sent me to inform you that the department meeting will begin in 10 minutes." a small slinky boy had said. Yamapi raised his eyebrow. "Of Course. I remembered. You can leave." Yamapi said. He waited for the boy to shut his door before speaking again. "I totally forgot." Yamapi yelled. He voiced was heard throughout the entire Entertainment department.
Yamapi regained his composure before walking out of his office. He feared what would happen at the meeting. He didn't have time to prepare his presentation. As he walked down the aisles of desk outside his office he was met with a slap in the chest. When he looked down he noticed that a folder was just shoved into his arms. His assistant was giving him a annoyed look. "Do you really remember anything. You assigned me to preparing for this meeting two weeks ago." She said before walking away. Yamapi laughed and walked down to the elevator reading the papers in his hand.
He sighed again. "I need a break. I'm forgetting everything." he said to himself.

Tap... tap... tap... tap...
Junno sat back against the wall of the rehearsal room staring up at the ceiling and absently tapping a slow meaningless beat on the snare drum. The others of his band, HEY-U, had left not too long ago after trying to persuade him to go home and get some sleep. He didn't want to sleep now. He wanted to know what was wrong with himself.
~*~ The crowd began to chant "HEY-U, HEY-U, HEY-U!" The chant created a pounding pulse that everyone could feel. The concert had hit its climax. They were getting ready for the closing number. The stage from underneath seemed to quake from all of the excitement that was building.
Yuya screamed out, "ARE YOU READY TO ROCK??!?!?" He pointed his microphone towards the sea of people in front of him. The sea screamed a roaring reply. Ryo, the lead guitarist, smirked at the reply, kissed his hand and waved the kiss away. The stadium filled with loud squealing. Sho laughed at his bandmate's antics and played an short intricate bass riff as his way to speak his thanks to the crowd. Junno smiled a smile that was able to be seen by even those at the very back row. He wasn't a drummer that sat in the background. He basked in his own sunlight. In the corner of his eye he could see their manager, Maru leaning against the wall back stage. He smiled a proud grin and nodded his acknowledgement. He knew they could all see him from there.
Yuya, Ryo, and Sho looked back at Junno giving him a silent signal at they were ready for the next song, their grand finale. Junno's smile grew bigger if that was even possible, and he stood up from his stool. He struck his drumsticks together with a force so great that it was surprising they had not broken.
"ONE! TWO! ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!!!!" Junno's drumsticks immediately slammed down on his drums, and, at that instant, the guitars soon joined him. Together they formed a rousing, heart-pumping tune. Yuya ran down the runway that went down the length of the stadium, stopped at the very center, and released his beautiful voice to the crowd.
Junno's pulse quickened as he song reached the chorus. Every person under that roof sang along. Ryo and Sho followed Yuya onto the runway. As the song reached the midpoint, Junno felt his arms slacken. He assumed it was because he was worn out. These longs concerts usually did that to him. But then suddenly he felt as if the room had tipped for a moment. He arms still continued on with the beat, but then the room felt as if it went upside down. He tried shaking it off, but it was too late. His right drumstick had left his grip. The other followed it and flew up in the air. The beat immediately stopped, the guitars stopped, Yuya stopped, the crowd stopped. Everything went black.
~*~ Junno opened his eyes and saw a white spackled wall... no, it was a ceiling. Four heads came into his view. It was Yuya, Ryo Sho, and Maru. All four wore very concerned faces. Junno then realized he was lying on a bed, his own bed from the looks of the light shining from the window. He tried to lift his head, but suddenly a pain shot through his head. He grimaced in pain. Maru quickly leaned forward and placed a hand on his chest to prevent him from getting up.
"No you don't." Maru said. "What happened?" Junno asked. "You passed out--" Yuya started. "during the last number..." Ryo finished, a tone of a annoyance could be heard in his voice. "It scared us all. When I mean all, I mean everyone." Sho said, showing more concern than his fellow bandmate. "Why?" Junno asked, more to himself than to the others. The others looked to each other in response. "Maybe it was just because you were tired, it has been difficult for all of us during these past two months. You probably just need a little break." Yuya spoke up, his tone of voice attempting to encourage Junno.
Junno looked towards the window which the sunlight permeated through and bathed the room in light. He knew he wouldn't be able forgive himself for what happened.
~*~ Tap... tap.. tap..
Junno felt absolutely horrible. The concert was abruptly stopped, and he knew that the incident had greatly worried his fans. He didn't want the concert to end like that. He felt he dissapointed everyone in that stadium.
He admitted something to himself. That had not been the first time he had felt headaches and dizzy spells like he had last night and this morning. This past month, he had been feeling out of sorts.
What is going on with me? Is it stress? Exhaustion?
Everyone had been feeling worn, out but they did not show the same symptoms. They did not just pass out in the middle of a concert... Whatever it was, it wasn't normal. He had a feeling it could affect his career.... or worse... his life...

Dai leaned back slowly in his computer chair until he had a good view of the blank white ceiling. His dark gaze fluttered over it, searching for an answer as he sighed haughtily. Arms crossed tightly, eyes closed, he replayed the concert over again in his mind from where he had peeked out, from backstage, to get at least a little glimpse of the concert. He had started cheering with the rest of the crowd in their chant and had gotten just as riled up. As the group's special effects and make-up specialist, he didn't get to see them perform as much as he should...before concerts he would get them ready to go onstage, make sure everything looked just right...and during it he was usually busy flashing the brightly colored lights and shining the spotlight on the right person at the exact right moment.
However, at that point, with the last number, he'd figured that the band didn't need his help impressing the excited audience anymore and had decided to give in to his inner fanboy. His dream was to become just like his sempais and wouldn't it help to watch them and learn from experience? Ah, he thought, watching them intently, hands clasped together in anticipation. After this we can go and eat some Jello at the parlor! Dai grinned happily at the thought and continued watching the movements of the band onstage as they began.
Suddenly, he felt a warm hand on his shoulder and whirled around to see Maru standing behind him, beaming proudly at the stage. This was it...this was it...! Dai shouted inside of his head, the words bouncing back and forth to the beat that was now beginning to form and he rocked his head from side to side naturally, the music becoming too catchy and addicting to stop. Maru, in turn, smirked, satisfied. This was part of the reason why he loved being a manager. The feeling while they were performing, the feeling afterwards...the overall feeling of accomplishment, care, and love. He bathed in it -- longed for more of it, and it was part of his job after all, right?
...both of them didn't know how it ended up like it did. Everything seemed so right, so perfect...the drive home from the hospital was horrendously silent and painful to bear. Maru constantly sighed from his position at the steering wheel, his face dark and unreadable to Dai, sitting beside him in the passenger seat up front. Dai sat quietly, hands neatly folded, unsure of what to say -- unsure of what he could possibly do. Could he even do anything? The look on everyone's faces as they left Junno's room one by one was heartbreaking to see...he wished he could've gone in as well, but before he knew it, Maru was shooing him away and telling him that they were leaving now to let Junno rest. "B-but, Maru-sempai!" Dai had exclaimed, shooting up from his spot on the bench right outside the room where he had been patiently waiting, anticipating - "Why can't I see Junno-sempai?" His face dropped and he took a step forward, but he stopped himself and knew that he couldn't persuade the manager once he had decided on something.
"He needs his rest. We all do. So we're leaving now, Dai. I'm sorry we couldn't go out for Jello today. We'll go together soon, okay?" Maru answered, trying to reassure the young teenager -- trying to reassure himself. Everyone was tired, it seemed. I mean, Junno had been working so hard...he should've given them more breaks...more rest...more vacation time...why was this happening? This was all his fault! He obviously hadn't been paying enough attention to them to notice that they weren't getting enough sleep or eating enough or something...! What a horrible manager he'd become, thinking that he didn't need to take care of them in everything anymore...it was still his job...he wasn't part of the band...he needed to get that straight, at least. As he passed by, he paused, stopping to pat the top of Dai's head slowly like a good sempai should. "Let's go."
Dai had followed. And now, here he was, in his room, staring up at that blank white ceiling he'd been meaning to paint ever since they'd moved into the new apartment - Maru and he. He had wanted to paint it various colors over the weeks, but Maru had refused, always saying that they'd "eventually move into something bigger, soon, Dai, soon". Soon? It had been so long already...so long he couldn't even remember anymore...but he brushed the thought away as he swung the chair back to its original position so he was facing his desk and computer screen again.
"Guess the homework isn't going to do itself..."

"HEY-U, HEY-U, HEY-U!" Inexplicably happy and pumped, Yasuda found himself chanting along with the rest of the crowd. Working the camera had become rote work to him, allowing him to enjoy his time at the concert with minimal interruptions for technical difficulties.
"Yassan," laughed fellow KOBEvision tech employee YOKOYAMA YU, "you look and sound exactly like all of these fangirls."
Said fangirl/boy blushed and laughed too. "It's the atmosphere!" he giggled. "I don't--YEEEEAAHHLWEROILSDKFEE!--" (Tegoshi has just prepped the audience for a total rock-out in a voice somehow unfit for rock) "--ahem, understand how you remain so calm! Ah, zoom in on Nishikido--" (More squealing ensues when the dark-haired man flashes a smirk and does his kissing thing.)
"Pan members--" Yu called just in time (They manage to catch Sho's face light up as he plays a riff and winks at avid fans). "Zoom drummer--" (Taguchi smashes his drumsticks together, hair astray over a pale face yet beaming face) "--Pan out!"
"I know what I'm doing!" Yasuda shrieked happily (not loud enough to be picked up by the mics, of course). The stage is a show itself, lights flashing and smoke swirling amidst the throbbing notes of the band's finale. Yasuda can feel the music through his ears, through his feet, through his body. "Isn't this great?" Yu grunts in reply, but a smile plays his lips.
The song swells.
"Hang on, Yassu, something's wrong, zoom in on Taguchi!"
The camera, then recording adrenaline-pumped fans, swivels and focuses on the drummer. His face, shining beacon-of-a-smile plastered on his lips only moments before, is dazed.
"Look, Yu, he's going to pass out--"
His face blanks, arms drop to his side, drumsticks fall to the floor. The drummer follows after them.
Percussion no longer rhythmically pounding, the song is not the same.
"Pan members!" hisses Yu. Yasuda gets clear shots of the confused and worried looks on all the band members' faces as they gradually cease playing. The fans are in a frenzied state of panic. The short blonde man looks at the other.
"...What just happened?"
+ + +
Just sleep it off. Deal with it in the morning.
Exhausted, annoyed, and worried, Ryo arrived home feeling more drained than a normal gig night left him. Everything was going so well. Everything was going perfectly. What happened?
"Tadaima..." he mumbled into the dark of his new and slightly small apartment. No one replied.
Kicking off his shoes, he shuffled to the bedroom and fell onto the covers fully clothed, half-expecting to hear a squeak, half-disappointed when he didn't. Ryo pressed his palms against shut eyes, breathing deeply.
What happened?
One minute, the band was playing like there was no tomorrow, the next Junno was sprawled on white sheets, breathing shallowly and looking like death.
He messed us up.
The thought popped into his head involuntarily. Ryo immediately regretted it. What kind of person would think that about his hospitalized friend.
But he did, and that was the truth; Ryo could not deny it. He hated himself for it.
He crawled toward the pillowcase and buried his face in the lulling, comforting, white smell of fabric softner.
I'm filthy. I'm wearing a dried formerly-sweat-soaked shirt and torn jeans to bed. I haven't taken a shower. When I wake up, my hair will probably be all messy and my clothes will be all wrinkly and I'll have a headache and I'll stink and I'll still think that Junno messed us up and I'll still be a jerk and he'll still never want me back.
Jeez WHY wouldn't he want me? I'm a fekking ROCKSTAR. I'll probably still be irresistably sexy when I wake up. Damn straight. Of course he still wants me.
God dammit, Junno, just tell us when you get tired. We would have understood.
It was light before Ryo could fall asleep.

Birds. Why of all things did they have to decide to scream and shout at the top of their lungs at a point in his life that everything needed to shut up. Why couldn’t they be like crickets, the night was perfect to be loud or even better why not even come out. Mornings were terrible for ueda. Everyday, considering that he lived in a silent town the only sound he heard was that fricken bird in the birch tree. That constant crow chirp gawk made the very cells in his brain shrivel in themselves. It was just so loud. One day he was going to cook bird for his family for breakfast, then he could just buy a regular alarm clock to replace the damn mite infected thing.
The blanks had been warm around him, but what did you expect from wool. Ueda stirred the blankets around him as he rose up in a sitting position in his bed. Another day working a meaningless day, and at night more work. And to top it off work at home, someone had to keep the dog from poor Garfield. Garfield was the old cat that decided to make a nice house in the laundry room. Well anyways back to me. Its my story so get used to it. Ueda rubbed the sleep from his eyes while rubbing his feet towards the side of the bed. His slippers were waiting, and so was breakfast. The slow draft of cooked eyes and steamed rice smelt so good he though he heard the bird even stop to smell it. The light from outside was dimmed in his room, the crisp bamboo from the bushes of them outside gave them plenty of material to decorate with. Ueda threw the blankets to his right and slipped into the warmth of his slippers, time to get the day started. But first let me tell you something, you know you need a new life when you wake up everyday and already know that the day is going to be boring and have no meaning.
Tonight everyone was going to the same spot for practice. It wasn’t that he hated the spot, he just hated the name. Who calls a club The Spot, it must have been someone with bad English. Ok since you don’t know what my life is about, let me tell you. My name is Tatsuya Ueda and if you call me Uebo may god have mercy on your soul. But other than that, im quit easy to get along with. Of course if your also not THAT bird. Ueda slipped into the kitchen and went straight for his chair at the table. The kitchen was filled with chatter as his mother threatened to spay Garfield for sleeping in her underwear basket. My Mother is a total mother. If that made sense, but its true. She even threatened to punish our two small Koi for eating too much food and getting sick. She was the one that feed them, poor things didn’t know she wasn’t sane though. You know now that I think about it, she could be related to THAT bird. Anyways, that’s my mother and my father well, he passed away 4 years ago. Some say it was a heart attack and some say that it was heart break. My mother had got a divorce with him 3 weeks before he died. At that time I was so deep in pain that all I did was cut gashes in my arms to keep the pain from my heart from consuming me.
Brothers and sisters, nope. However, the fact that Garfield had a split personality due to my mothers ranting everyday was quite like having a weird brother. I would too have a split personality, but I get out enough to know that I was in check with one Ueda. Hm, I cant really think of anything else. Right, my bad, that was all about me now its time for the things that are going on around me.

A young man with shoulder length hair set his eyes onto the TV screen. He had just gotten home from a long meeting when he heard all this comotion outside. He had herd the words "channel 10" "passed out" or "HEY-U." It was obvious to him, news about their rival band, HEY-U. Kamenashi had turned on the TV instantly. There, on the screen, was clips played over and over again of the drummer, Junnosuke Taguchi, passing out unexpectadly. He waited to see what the cause was. "So far, no real cause has been said to have caused this. The fellow members and manager ,Nakamaru Yuichi, believe it was just from exhaustion. We'll be back with further news."
Kazuya made a face, turning off the TV. He heaved a sigh and walked into his kitchen. s**t, he had no food. Another night to order out...? He really needed to buy food. He dialed up a number, ordering his food. He then walked inside a spare room of his. It was obviously an office. Had a large desk with about five file cabinets in different areas of the room. Papers and files were spread all over the large desk and his laptop was making that 'wurring' sound, signaling it was on. He heaved a sigh and sat down at his desk. "Let's see...where to now?" He rummaged through certain clubs and who would be playing.
He planned to go out and scout tonight. He did it every weekend since that was when most of the local bands would go and play. He had not found anything he really took a liking to. True, lots of them had talent, but they just didn't have the passion to match it. Most of the people he saw were the kinds that would not stick to their style. They would do some of their own and then be told that they needed to 'change' a little bit. Kazuya was going to make sure that didn't happen. He would not let that happen. After a few hours of working, he began to get a little hungry. He got up and headed for the kitchen. He knew it was going to be a long day.

It was night. It was dark. Small, cool droplets of translucent liquid trailed down glass windows. Dark eyes followed their movement. The water drops followed each other. It was a big, loving family. Koyama Keiichiro envied their freeness. It looked so... awesome. He was trapped in a caged world. The only way he could leave is if he found that one key. But...what was it? His orbs closed firmly and he dreamt away.
The key to be free...what could it be? I’ve been missing it all my life. It has to be more than mutual. Is it feeling? Is it something out of this world? Or is it something that just isn’t in my world?
The boy opened up his eyes again when there was a knock at his bedroom door. “Come in...” he said drowsily. The door opened and his young neighbour’s face popped up. Hikaru smiled joyfully and stepped into the area. Koyama smiled back uneasily. It was one of those nights where he felt something would be extremely bad and he’s regret it lots.
“Hi Hikaru~ what brings you here?”
“I just wanted to come over. It’s –” the young 15-year-old tried to think of an excuse for being here. The real reason he was here was because he couldn’t stand being in his house. It was too awkward to look at his parents after all they’ve done to him. He had to get away. What better than hanging out with one of his favourite bassists in the whole wide world? “— boring at my place.”
Koyama nodded in comprehension. “Ah.” He cleared his throat a bit. “Well...” he started, “there’s nothing interesting here either. I was about to go get the cat to sleep.”
“Well, there’s you, Koyama.” Hikaru forced on a smile. Did he have to go back so soon? He gulped a bit. “Eto...could I sleep over? You have to see the band tomorrow, ne? So I can come along too!” The older male wanted to decline, but didn’t know how. Sure, he loved Hikaru’s company but... “Maybe you can go see one of your friends? Call to see if they aren’t too busy. I’ll be working so I don’t know how you’ll enjoy yourself.” Keii shrugged a bit. The younger boy bobbed his head in understanding.
Back to Hell for me, it seems.
They two bid their farewells and left to their destinations: Koyama to bed and Hikaru back to what he called ‘his death’.
~~~~~
The next morning was a very bright one. Koyama squinted. Sunlight hurts in the morning. He stretched his arms and yawned at the same time. He groggily stood up and walked over to the bathroom. His mother greeted him happily. He could only reply with a small groan. The door closed, his eyes slightly open, Keii looked at himself in the mirror. His orange-coloured like hair was in every direction. His eyes, though to some extent closed, had bags underneath them. The male sighed.
“Eh...Shower time.”
Meanwhile...
Hikaru was being lectured about his 90% average by his mother. What did she want from him? Wasn’t that good enough? It was the best he could do.
“You expect getting through life carrying yourself around? You’re a horrible kid, Yaotome Hikaru. I’m disgraced having you as my son.”
Her words done, her hits starting. A hand went across Hikaru’s face. A slap. He did nothing but let her be. It wasn’t as if he could do anything to stop her. He was weak. He was alone. Nothing could help him.
~~~~~
Once finished with brushing his teeth, combing his hair, washing his face, getting changed and all that jazz, Koyama went down to get breakfast. Oh, and properly greet his parents. He didn’t think his mother enjoyed that groan. The male scurried down the steps and walked into the kitchen. His father was reading the ‘Kobe Times’ and his mother was cleaning a few dishes. Keii bowed.
“Ohayou okaa-san, otou-san.”
His okaa-san smiled warmly and his otou-san put down his newspaper to salute his son. “Ohayou, Keiichiro.”
“Ano...Otou-san, okaa-san, I’m going to go now to see the band.”
“You haven’t even eaten breakfast yet!” his mother told him worriedly. He waved it off. She could only sigh and let him go.
Koyama walked out the kitchen and grabbed his iPod, ‘Koyapod’, that lay on a piece of furniture. He also took his coat and put it on as he left the house.
Hikaru spotted Koyama walk out his home. He was to go with him too. The boy quickly took his own coat and ran outside, not bothering putting it on until he met up with his neighbour. “Koyama! Koyama!” Hikaru called. The older male turned on his heel. “Eh?” Hika came into sight. his small figure stopped in front of him. The young lad bent over and panted a bit. “Oh, well good morning Hikaru.” Keii then noticed his left cheek was very red. It couldn’t have been blush if it was only on one side. “What happened? Your cheek’s all red.” He pointed to Hikaru’s cheek.
What was he suppose to say now? He couldn’t let Koyama know his mother was crazy. He’d report her, and he’d be left with nothing. Hikaru began to think up a lie. “Um...I—I fell...on my face! Yeah, I’m pretty clumsy nowadays.”
Koyama felt lies. But since it was morning, he decided to shrug it off. He smiled and questioned the boy again. “So what brings you out here?”
“I want to see you practice with the other members of XXX.” Koyama sighed. He placed his hand on Hikaru’s shoulder. “I’ll be working so I don’t know how you’ll enjoy yourself.”
‘I thought I told him yesterday...’
The younger boy opened his mouth to protest, but couldn’t think of anything to say. He sighed. Koyama saw his sadness and gave a weird face. “Well, I don’t have to go now so I guess you can tag along with me and go shopping.”
Hikaru smiled and nodded in excitement. “Thank you Koyama!”
~~~~~
After that long day, the two were off to the club, ‘The Spot’.
That club was the club they went to all the time. It was a plain little place like any other. The two males got off the train and walked the rest of the way. Hikaru happily walked alongside Koyama, who was himself quite happy, but tired. Now to try and survive practice...
Keii pushed on the door. It didn’t budge. He pushed, and pushed on it. Hikaru stared. “Do you need any help?” The older one groaned. “I am completely fine, thank you.” and he continued his shoves. After a minute, he got very annoyed and roughly, yet lightly, threw himself on the door. He stopped and gave a very large sign of irritation.
“GRAH. WHY WON’T THIS DAMN DOOR OPEN?!”
Hikaru laughed a bit. “Let me get it.” He pushed Koyama aside and pulled the door. Keii stared with a blank expression.
“...”
“Haha, let’s go in now~”
The builders of his house were complete idiots.
After all, what kind of person, besides a sadist, would put a huge window right where the sun would be shining in their face in the morning, no matter what direction they faced? Sometimes he wondered if he hadn't done something to offend the construction workers who had built his home, and thus encouraged their malicious ways. Then he would remember that he hadn't been born when the house had been build, so he couldn't have. And by the time he had gone through all of this in his head, he was too conscious to be able to go back to sleep easily.
Akanishi Jin groaned as he got out of bed. He needed curtains, badly. He just never thought about it, since he wasn't in his bedroom during the day, and at night nothing was bright enough to bother him. But, oh well. He rubbed his eyes, wandering aimlessly towards his kitchen as he tousled his hair. He didn't even want to look in the mirror yet. First things first, food. He dug around in his refrigerator, grabbed a bottle of cold green tea and something edible, and plopped down into his chair. He picked up the phone he had dropped there the previous night and turned it on as he ate, texting his neighbor and friend, Ueda. 'Osu. Plans for today?'
BOOM Every morning it’s the same thing. BOOM When ever I get a day off and decided to sleep in I can’t. BOOM “Because some people don’t know how to STOP BANGING ON THE DAMN WALL” Yamapi yelled as he tossed from one side of the bed to the other, throwing his pillow over his head. If it’s one thing he hated, it was someone waking him up. His head was pounding still from the dinner party he went to with his boss and a few mangers from another company. He didn’t remember how or when he got home. BOOM “To hell with it. Yamapi said as he threw the pillow on the floor. It was no use in trying to go back to sleep. His neighbors would keep up with the banging for about another hour, until the left for work. He never understood how the could be so noisy getting dressed. Many times he went to talk to them about the noise and every time they said they would keep it down. They never did.
Yamapi sat up and move his comforter to the side. He looked down and saw he was still wearing his work pants, and that was it. He ran his fingers threw his hair and stared down at his feet. Even though it was his day off, he had no plans, which was unlike him. He slid his feet into his slippers, left his bedroom, and walked into his kitchen.
He had a very cozy apartment. It had two bedrooms, one up a flight of stairs, that had a bedroom in it (his bedroom), and another down on the main level. There was a half bath down on the main level. His living room and dinning room and kitchen was black and gold, as in furniture. He had a big screen, which he barely watched. It was like a bachelor pad. Too bad he was never there.
Yamapi walked into the kitchen and picked up his cell, which was on the counter. He had 4 missed calls and 3 voice messages. He didn’t care, it was his day off, and he knew it was someone from his job calling. He sat down on one of the stools that was lined up against the island. He placed his face into his hand and sighed. He didn’t want to sit home all day on his day off. I haven’t hung out with Ryo in a while. Maybe I should see if he wants to go eat with me. Yamapi thought. He scrolled through his phone book, pushing call once he reached Ryo’s name.
“Moshi Moshi, Ryotan”
“You know that’s not a good look for you.” Tacchon said to Naima who had her head pressed up against the mail box.
“Shut up! Naima replied.
Ohkura opened his mailed box and pulled out all that was stuffed in there. Bills, Bills, Junk, Letter from Okaa-san, more junk, more bills, magazines. Ohkura scratched his head. “Nothing good. He looked over at his neighbor who still had her head on the mail box. “Why are you so tired?….Wake up, I want you to listen to something. “ Ohkura said shaking his neighbors shoulder.
“Che? Che? Che? Fermare la scossa me.” -What? What? What? Stop shaking me.- Naima said to Okhura, pushing him away. She turned around and leaned up on the mail box for a second. Glancing at her watch, 8:45am, she realized it was time for her to get ready for work. She walked up the steps that led to the first floor. Naima and Tacchon lived across the hall from one another. There was four apartments in each building. Two on one floor, two on another. She walked into her apartment, leaving the door opened behind her.
Tacchon stumbled as Naima pushed him. He followed her up the steps into her apartment closing the door behind him. Tacchon walked into the kitchen and pulled him self a glass of juice. He dug into his pocket and pulled out some folded up paper. He opened the paper reading it and laughing. Tacchon spit his Juice out as he heard Naima start yelling. What is wrong with that chick , Tacchon thought.
Naima ran out the ran wearing her usual blue smock and white coat that had KU on it. She rushed around looking for her keys and cell phone. She went to the closet and pulled out her work bag, stuffing it with her wallet and documents. “Gomen na Tacchon. I’m late for work. I’ll listen to you later. Lock up after you finish, you have your key, ne?” Naima asked. When Ohkura shook his head, she left out.
“You could have at least listened to me.” Tacchon said to no one. He pulled his cup in the sink and left out, locking Naima’s door behind him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Every time I come to work, more papers are piled on my desk… I can’t wait until I move into my own office.” Naima said. She heaved a sigh and sat down at her desk. “Well you don’t have to wait long. You move into your office today. Pack your stuff. Mika-senpai said to Naima with a smiled. Naima figured Mika was happy Naima was leaving and moving to another office. Where Naima was currently station, 12 people shared one office. Since Mika was the supervisor, she was the only one whose desk was behind another door.
It took about two hours to move Naima’s stuff down the hall to her new office. She sat in the big chair behind the desk and spun around. YES!
knock, knock, knock Naima stopped spinning and looked over at the door and yelled come in.
“Konnichiwa” Ohkura said as he walked into the office. “Nice. So you get to moved into here.”
“Why are you here?” Naima asked.
I’m a patient….I want you to listen to my interview of Tackey.”
“Shoo…”
Hideaki Takizawa, 24, is known as one of the most famous male Singer/Dancers in all of Asia….okay skip this part…
Ohkura: What is it that you like to do doing your free time?
Tackey: Well I’m like most guys, I like to surf, go out and have fun with my friends. I like going to different restaurants.
Ohkura: I’m sure all your female fans would like to know if you are currently dating anyone>
Tackey: Well, no I’m not right now. I want to stay focus with my work. I’m afraid I won’t have time to please anyone because of my busy schedule.
Blah Blah Blah. Tackey was very formal with his answers though Naima, like he didn’t want to blow something so I asked his receptionist about him.
Ohkura: What does Tackey do?
Receptionist: Tackey’s very busy. Most of the time he’s always with Tsubasa-kun. I never understood how they could be so close. I guess they have a brotherly type relationship. When he’s not at practice or the studio, he’s normally out with Tsubasa, like always. Kind of weird in my opinion. There were times when I would try to take Tackey documents or messages and he would be in the office with Tsubasa, with the door lock. As if he was trying to lock me out. Sometimes I see him out with other celebrities like Matsumoto Jun or Domoto Koichi, but once he leaves them, he goes to hang out with Tsubasa-kun again.
Ohkura: So is it like a friendly relationship or more than that.
Receptionist: I’m not sure. If you were to ask Tackey, he would probably say friendship, but I never really see Tackey pay any attention to anyone besides Tsubasa. Not even me. They go to movies, parties, dinner, beaches and parks. Do males normally do that?
You aren’t going to publish that are you?” Naima asked trying to stifle her laugh.
“Maayybbeeee… Okay I’ve stayed here long enough. It’s my time to leave. I have to go turn this in.” Tacchon said. He left out the office before Naima could reply.
