What are people's thoughts and reactions to Disney's upcoming movie, Rapunzel?

I'm excited - the concept art is nice, and the time period that the movie is going to take place in (mid 1700s) is one of my very favourites, and lends itself well to beautiful costumes and scenery.

However, I am NOT happy with the lead. She looks waaaay to modern. A true princess in the 1700s would have never worn her hair that way, and I can't stand that rebellious smirk.

They've already said that it's going to be a musical, which makes me very excited (especially Kristin Chenoweth!). And the concept art is stunning. I'm not sure I have the same doubts about the lead herself, except for the fact that she's blonde, and there are so many other Disney females which golden locks.

Yes, I don't like her hair. Disney needs to make a red haired princess. We don't have one of those do we? I mean, excluding Ariel from the picture since she's still portrayed as a fish and all...
xd That always bothered me, she became human and then they still have her as a fish in the parades and at her little character meet and greet places...
But back to Rapunzel, I'm just glad it's not a modern fairy tail. X.x Those really bother me. I mean, Enchanted will be fine with me, but when they try to relate say...Cinderella to a modern day teenager. Bleh. rolleyes Just seems pointless to me. We all know the story well enough. I'm just thankful they threw out the idea of doing something like that. Phew.
