One question for other tree-huggers out there...
Do you physically hug trees or is it just a metaphor for your eco-friendly philosophy? ^^

I'm both a physical and metaphorical ' Tree Hugger blaugh

If you do physically hug trees, do you ask them first or just launch straight in?

I like to wait until I get the feeling and the vibes that the tree is 'welcoming' my embrace before I start hugging.

Also, do you hug any and all trees or just the ones which are special to you?

I hug trees physically!! Usually I just launch right in there with a big hug, but sometimes I hold back and then hug.

I hug all trees. They are all beautiful!

I agree. mad Grrrr! *growls*

Hugging people can give you infections like colds or flu.

Hugging people can give you a whiff of something unpleasant (bad B.O. or stinky aftershave sweatdrop )

All in all, hugging trees is better.

I am both a physical and metaphorical/intellectual tree hugger! I dont hug all trees, sometimes I will sit there and think it's a nice tree and get up and hug it. Sometimes I ask. There is this HUGE live oak at the barn I keep my horse at/work at, and we put a swing on it (only I'm the only one that uses it or sits underneath it crying .) It is my favorite tree in the whole world, and I have told it so, so now I dont bother asking. The other people there think I'm strange because I hug it, but it doesnt bother me.

You know if someone who didnt sympathize randomly came in here, we'd probably all be commited.

I usually feel the warm, fluffy *I'm being hugged with love* feeling inside whee so in a way yes, I am hugged back. ^_^ (although I've never had a tree actually wrap their branches around me)
