I was just looking around and i saw someone mention how people don't give Yugioh a chance...
Well my question is, What was your 1st impression of Yugioh. When you saw it, heard about it...Found out about!
To be honest...I used think it was pointless and stupid...When i 1st started out...I wasn't at all impressed, and i thought it was another Pokemon copy-cat...And of course i went with the classic, 'How can some kid save the world playing a card game!?'
So then my friend invited me to spend the night and all we did was watch recordings and DVD's. The next morning, i was a fan 3nodding

Actually, I remember it exactly because now I never judge shows because of this. I was sitting in my room watching Pokemon when a commertial(sp?) for Yugioh came on. I said something like. "That show looks so stupid, I'll never watch it." And I didnt for a little while. But once I watched the end of an episode while waiting for Pokemon to come on and I loved it. xd sweatdrop

the frist time i saw it i was blushing over yami thinking he was hot heart and also thinking what the ******** wrong with the hair gonk i loved it at frist site whee

When I first saw it, it was the Dungeon Dice Monsters episode. The last one I think when Yami defeated Otogi (Duke). And at first I was like "What the hell is up with those hearts and why are they playing on a game board?" But then I saw Yami (It was the crappy art style) and I didn't like him at first. Then later on he grew on me and now I'm totally obsessed with him.

When I first saw it, originally it was the Zero Series, when I was in Japan to visit my grandparents. It was interesting and had to do with a lot of games. And while I stayed there longer and it showed the 1st series, I had already wanted to see it more. By then I was reading the YuGiOh manga. It was very good anime from my perspective. And my grandparents liked it, so they used to watch it with me. And didn't mind that I was to young for it. lol.

when i first saw it i thought it was the stupidest thing in the world, truthfully. but, then it grew on me and i LOVE it now! i just had to give it a chance. and, at first i thought the purple and black part of yugi's hair was a weird hat he had on 24/7 haha. but now it's one of my favorite animes and yami/yugi is so awesome! ^ ^

Haha, when Yuugiou first came out I was younger, 11 I believe, and I was still very into watching all my Saturday morning cartoons(still would if the line up didn't suck now, god I miss the mummy cartoon ><). And whenever KidsWB came out with a new show I made sure to watch at least the first episode, and give everything a chance to see whether or not I liked it...
I first saw the commercial for Yuugiou and thought "Pfft...that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen, I'm not going to even bother with the first episode of that." And so it was ignored, until eventually when it had first started to air on cartoon network in the afternoons, I caught the episode of Yami vs. Haga, and that was all it took for me to be hooked.
Believe it or not, when I first started watching it I even *shudders* hated Yami. I thought he was so annoying ^^;. I used to be a Kaiba fan.

I think i saw the Duel with Bakura and Yami and the gang was turned to their favorite Duel monsters. I think that was my first.
I remeber even commenting on Yugi's hair. I asked my friend so many questions about it. The typical, 'why is hair like that? His hair is weird'
I acually started out liking Joey because he was funny and he had that goofy grin. Then Yami started to grow on me cause of his voice heart , then Yugi cause he acted so innocent. whee

When it first came out, I watched to first couple episodes got bored of the constant duels, and stopped watching for about 2 years ( I think....not sure). But a few weeks ago, my friend got me to watch Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series on Youtube.com, and I found them hilarious, but so I could understand the jokes and plot better, I decided to watch the show again, and I've gotten hooked.

It was the aftermath of Pokemon, and I saw a commercial for a world with magic and a card game(obviously the dub). It was love at first sight. I was so obsessed after watching the first episode, I just made random monsters using real playiing cards and went with that.

I remeber the commerical and how is was comming on right after Pokemon...lol (Or something along those lines) I used to watch it too. Then i would watch it adn i let it keep going. I probrably sat there for 5 min. and was like, 'Well this was a waste of my time' I didn't even give it 15 min. i regret it gonk
But now i love it!!! So i don't feel as bad xd

I was watching Pokemon with my sister and we switched it to watch this new Season of Digimon. When we saw that the new season sucked, (Season three I think) We quickly switched it back to the Pokemon channel. Yugioh suddenly aired for its new series premiere. I was interested in it at first, but by the fifth or sixth episode i was hooked. The egyptian themed part of it reeled me in... Ancient Egypt rocks!
