Apparently the movie Stay Alive is no longer copyrighted, so it can be watched for free at...
Link
As a fan of survival horror games I found it amusing. Especially when they mixed up a reference to Silent Hill early on and my head nearly exploded.
There are also some other classic horror movies on the same site, including Night of the Living Dead.

I saw it. Yeah.. if you're gonna reference an actual game, you should know which one youre talking about.

anyhoo, I liked it. I thought it was incredibly shortsighted, and the game itself would also be very short indeed. When the movie was first announced, they said that a video game of the same name would accompany the release of hte DVD, but obviously, since I can't find any listings or any other info about it online, I would say it's not gonna happen.

I did like how Frankie Munez died... oh, wait, no he didn't. Crap.

Once again, could have been better, could have been gorier(I saw the extended, unrated version and so what...nothing really exceptional gorewise, as it should have been ). I did like the idea behind the story, though, and the evil ghost lady was particularly icky, so it gets points.

Overall, I give it 5 out of 10 Wild Roses of Protection. Hopefully they'll protect the genre from more sub-par gamer-targeted movies in the future.

You know, when it came out, I honestly thought that a movie and a game hand in hand was inevitable. So many movies have such game potential, but never come to life.

I want to see that movie but stopped 1 minute in because that stupid bleeding eye made me almost pee my pants.

Before I watch it, is it very scary?

I didn't find it scary at all. The stuff that is meant to surprise you is pretty predictable.

Yeah. Not scary, but still quite entertaining.

I loved the fact that they referenced both Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, plus I thought the use of a vibrating controller as a creepy noise was kinda cool.
