As the title says: post all your ideas here. That can be ideas about the thread, the guild or just random ideas.
Examples:
The thread: things such as the dice game, the quiz, tektek The_Colorbump
The guild: specific subforums (an RP subforum, ...)
For the guild you can off course always start your own topic. Talk about whatever you like. And... ninja It's a bit boring all topics are made by me until now.

I recon we could use an advertising spot somewhere, for quests and (art) shops and who knows what and all...
Or perhabs just a plain "interesting links spot"!
I'd leave the subfora for now as I've seen in other guilds, they die too soon and don't really serve their purpose.

I agree with Gemene_Koala to not bother with subforums for awhile. We won't need one til the guild becomes fairly active, and by then it should be clear what will warrant it's on forum! mrgreen
Also, I'm so sorry I haven't been on much. In all honesty I've been having major rp burnout and have just not been logging into Gaia because if it. Which is bad because I'm not royally getting my butt kicked in the Colorbump. crying
I'll be on more, I promise!

The main focus of the Colorbump right now is on the thread in Chatterbox, not in our guild forum, and this is the main reason why we can easily see how our activity level is divided.
If we can find a way to get the regulars to stay here longer than they do in Chatterbox, this place will become more active. There is a downside to this however: if we don't bump in Chatterbox, we won't be able to advertise ourselves and our guild may not grow. We should be able to find a way to both effectively advertise in Chatterbox AND be active here. How about an advertising committee or something?
(Er, sorry if I sound lame. And I do sound lame right now because I'm having colds.)

Well, the guild shouldn't have a life on its own I think. I want to make a structure where the thread is the heart of it all and the guild is just the brain that gives everything structure. If the heart would decide to stop pumping, the brain can immediately make a new one and inform the rest of the body to accept the new one. Plus, through the brain, the rest of the body can communicate to each other. Nice description, not? To add: this means the guild is more a chatting place, the thread is the main bump place. If The_Colorbump was Gaia, the thread itself was the Chatterbox and the guild was all the other forums... So I don't think we really need to advertise the guild, the advertisement is made by the thread itself. As I said in the part above: the guild doesn't need to be hyper active. Sadly enough, the thread neither. January is until now a very good month, which means there is a lot of counting to do for me. I don't think I can take much more. In December we had a serious dip, but the Christmas Colorbump introduced new blood, so I think for now, we can just let things go their own way. However, it's not only to me to deicide that. If the parliament (or to say it easy: the most active members) thinks we should advertise and if they also provide a way to do the counting when I can't do it all anymore, then we do advertise.

Er, I'm an academically challenged person when it comes to anatomy...so yeah, I'll just take your word for it sweatdrop I was just thinking of how we could make this a cool, comfortable place to chat even without too many people. It gives people a minor reason to post here. When our members are comfortable with the atmosphere, then that is a good time to check what guild features they would most probably want to see.

I like to RP too, but I don't do it anymore because I don't have the time at the moment. At least one of the other regulars also does RP's, so that makes at least 3. We can give it a try and if it's not popular, use the subforum for something else.

I say fishing rooms and others.. (Jigsaw, cards, slots) It could be possible with multiple mules, multiple computer accounts, and a steady internet. Leaving my computer on standby has proved to be semi-succesful. (Before I checked my all nighter computer my dad had shut it down... >.<)
Also, perhaps a Colorbump store where non-colorbumpers can "purchase" what we sell. Like a minishop in an entirely different thread.

I know that the quiz in the thread was discontinued before I joined up, but I'd be interested in seeing that start up again, either in the thread or here. I don't think any big prizes would be necessary - there are already a lot of ways to get gold through the Colorbump. Maybe even a monthly quiz rather than a weekly quiz? Perhaps the prize could be something like a paper crown, and the winner of the quiz could wear it for the month.

The reason why the quiz was stopped, was lack of interest and also a bit of discussion which answer is correct and which not. In this age of internet, everyone can search everything, so it's very difficult to make appropriate questions.
So, any solutions to that?
* Make a quiz with easy questions where every contestant gets gold.
* ...
Why doesn't it come back?
* I don't have time
* Fem_chan doesn't have time
* TaiFengShin (the host) is on hiatus
So, maybe, if anyone has good ideas about it or wants to host the quiz, PM me or reply here. I liked the idea and would love to help it set up again.

Perhaps the quiz could be about the Colorbumpers themselves, so it's not as easy to just Google it? Just a thought. I might be able to help host it, but not until May. neutral
