Well its becasue
a. I hear that fiber glass blood rumor...
b. They have the highest Tar content of any cigg.
c. Highest nicoteen of any cigg.
well..idk..i dont think i should smoke them they sound extra dangerous...are their any OTHER ciggs that are good like those...i dont care about the menthol but i am a menthol whore....If your goin to say Misty or winstons...just go....

I don't know any american brands of cigarettes but I know for a fact that the fiber glass blood rumour is a myth. And as for Newports having the highest niccotine and tar content of any other cigarette I'm not sure but no matter what you smoke it's all dangerous and will all kill you eventually (according to the T.V) So I say ******** it and smoke whatever pleases you.

you shouldnt worry about that i now smoke camel turkish jades and my sister still smokes newports everytime she asks to bum a cig she'll ask my dad because turkish jades are harder. truth is they arent that bad of a cigarette, one brand not to smoke continulously would be djarum blacks only

I'm totally against Newports. My friend's personally coughed up blood from them, and don't tell me I'm lieing.
Plus they are pretty dangerous. Not only about the coughing up blood thing but for the reasons you also stated.
Not to mention they taste HORRIBLE.

I don't know about the fiberglass rumor, but I read on Wikipedia that menthols are more addictive and more toxic. Personally, I think they're the only bearable brand of menthol cigarettes, but I'd never smoke 'em regularly.
As for Mistys and Winstons...those things...shouldn't even be categorized as cigarettes. They're ******** grotesque.

hmm...Camels are good altogether...large intakes at once make them feel almost like menthols...and as for winstons...they seem to be everyones "Last resort"...but never down em...for some reason...they are always there in a time of need...
Newports are strong...but Wides are more powerful...and newports are just unhealthy do to the Fiberglass
But...if you are looking to change to something excellent....Marlboro Blend 27...excellent flavor...feel...and they make you feel good in the end...

I smoked menthol for a while, but then i started smoking hand rolled cigarettes, which somehow converted me to marlboro reds. i dunno, the taste just seems more natural. my friends joke that it's the southern in me.

we could stereotype everyone based on ciggies...
so i guess.
Newport/menthols = Black people cigarettes
Marb Reds = Hick Smokes/ Cowboy killers
...
i dunno the rest though.
Misty's for women...
off brand/rollies for cheap asses/ poor people..
Djarum Blacks for the rich.. or the flavorly enhanced people.
regardless,
smokes are smokes.
they all hurt you.
Menthol are worse for you,
but no cigarettes are really "good" for you.
way back when people thought they were.
^^ i figure im just choosing the way i leave this hell.
Rather than let other forms of cancer suprise me.
