Happy New Year 2007 everyone!! Dear Members of the Crimson Ibis:
As you all know, or are supposed to know, the Crimson Ibis is under new management now. Which means that it's a terrible mess at the moment. It's alive, but only by a hanging thread. Being as blunt as possible, we still want to bring it back to life and make it a place suitable for everyone to bring in their roleplays and have a good time while at it. That is, and will always be, our primary objective.
Unlike other admins, my style is to make the atmosphere as cozy as possible, and be as available to you all as I can, allowing you to bring in any doubts, worries, suggestions, etcetera, for they are all welcome. Given this closeness, I take the freedom of sending this announcement to all of you to let you know of the current Crimson Ibis status, and the agenda at hand.
Primarily, we require all of your attention and activity in order to keep this guild running. It's really no use to have a guild with many members if none of them are interested in it. For that, we are employing an already existent and rather simple strategy; roll call. It is required that you all report as soon as you receive this message. Inactivity for a month will mean an instant ban.
Secondly, I'm sure you have all noticed that the roleplay threads that you created in the Crimson Ibis are all, well, not there. That's because they were all moved into the Dead Threads forum. This was done for the following purpose; we require that, if it so applies, you tell us of the roleplay threads that you have created and wish for us to return to the main threads page so that you may once again play in them. Even if the thread is old and inactive, if you desire to contact its members and revive it, it is acceptable.
Third, though it may sound like a survey, it would be nice if you gave us your exact tastes when it comes to roleplays. That is, if you like anime/series based roleplays, medieval, futuristic, action, drama, or such other categories, let us know! We'd love to know your tastes, so that we may then invite you to roleplays of such kind.
They are very simple steps, and all they require is just a minute of your time; just reply to this whether PMing Niht or reply to the post on the Guild's Main Forum Page. Let us know you're still alive and you wish to participate in the Crimson Ibis, whether or not there are roleplay threads you wish returned to the main forum page, and your likes regarding roleplays, and you're done!
Though the Crimson Ibis is a roleplay guild, we don't expect for you all to be 24/7 on top of it all. However, an average of a post every five days is an acceptable rate of activity for any one roleplay, and therefore for this guild. It's not much to ask, and we assure you all that you'll have fun while at it.
Again, let us know you're alive and willing to participate in the guild. We'd love to hear from you, your comments, suggestions or complaints of any kind. Have a good day/night, and take care!

Well, I, Devath, am here, Niht. I'm in the only still running roleplay in the guild and keeping up on it. On at least once a day normally, as long as schedule doesnt disagree. Normal RPing environments that I choose to play in are Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but mostly anything that has a well-done backplot, say a page or more. I tend to find school-based roleplays a little boring because seriously, I RP to forget school. I'm afraid I couldn't quite feel the agony of the Ibis's change of owner as much as others did, as I was becoming a new member as the change was getting underway. It seemed ureal, and I looked around for some active RPs. Thre weren't really many, but I helped get one started, and that's good. Peace, Devath EDIT: Yay, I wrote up my post while you were still writing the forms! smile Wonderful to see someone active! We kept that RP there specifically because we knew it was alive. It's especially important that people like you take initiative in being active. Keep up the good work!

Well, I'm here........ Can't get rid of me that easy! whee
I like sci-fi (mostly genetic alteration rp's...... Pure Futuristic and and pure space and such bores me.......) and Fantasy, pretty much ANY fantasy, and some series rp's, depending on the series..... (Mostly stuff like Naruto or FF, while I do like shows like FMA, I don't want to RP them XD)
However, mention modern school in almost ANY way and I will beat you with my poisonus medevil japaneese noodle....... The kind they used to whip people with....... A LOOOOOONG time ago........
It's more fun to make people smell funny when you beat them xd
I might make an RP soon, if I get my thoughts sorted out...... (Dunno if you noticed, my thoughts kinda race around before I can catch up with them........)
And I can take the leader change, but why'd Q have to LEAVE??!! gonk
Why, we wouldn't want to get rid of ya, of course! What with your ever-shifting thoughts and your style, we wouldn't want to keep you away smile
As for Q, he left on his own accord, for reasons unknown to me. He was a good player and a fine leader, but his decision is his own. He knows he'll always have a home here in the Crimson Ibis, though.

I just joined, so I'd like to stay here!
As for preference of RP, I'm pretty open to all kinds, but I prefer Fantasy. Some Series RPs can be good too. Like, Fruits Basket, Kingdom Hearts, FF... Yeah, that's a weird combo... But I'm open to lots...
Welcome to the Ibis! Hope you like your stay here, even though it's kind of a mess right about now. Glad to see some versatility in tastes. Hopefully you'll take part in a good amount of plays. Have fun!

Well, I'm fairly new to this place, but am active in the most recent topic. It's very well put together. I'm enjoying it. I mostly like fantasy or really any creative, original storyline. I don't have much else to comment on. Nice place, I tend on staying here for awhile. I check up on it daily. Best wishes to you.

I'd like to stay very much. I apologize for my inactivity. I got a little busy with life and am only allowed on for an hour at a time, but I'm here.
I personally request some good fashioned sci-fi RPs, though I got to admit I love a little fantasy mixed in.
We know it's very hard nowadays, what with the busy life we all carry, to mantain a good roleplay. However, an hour is really all you need. Just pick a roleplay you like, and dedicate it that little bit of time. Whatever lets you have fun smile

Yes, that's understandable as well. Should something like that happen, please let us know somehow, so that we can tell your other roleplaying partners about it, so that they can make the proper adjustments to the roleplay. Feel free to PM such events to me at any time smile
As for roleplays, let us know what kind you like, and we'll make a good few suggestions to get you started biggrin

Anywho, I like all varieties of RPs and my tastes change like the seasons and the weather, so I can't really list anything. I do, however, roleplay just about anything and will try anything once. ^^
Wonderful to see you still around smile Let me know the roleplays you're participating in that have been removed, if any, so that I may return them to the main forum.
As a suggestion, don't get into -too- many roleplays all at the same time. Just dedicate your full time to a few, and you'll do fine.

I've been here since the Ibis was created and I'll be buggered if I'm leaving! 'course I had my spell of inactivity as things slowed down and University got to me, but I have a bit more time and I'll get here as often as I can!
Roleplay wise, I enjoy anything (Mainly: Modern, Fantasy and Sci-Fi) except Anime-related ones.
Ruuvan! Great to see you're still around. I hope you still plan to get into a few roleplays while you're here. I know the university can be a lot of work, but just take an hour to post in your roleplays now and then, and it'll be fine smile Stick around!

I'd prefer to stay. Last night I went through Barton to try and find a rp that suited my tastes. Instead, I ran out as fast as I could out of there and learned my lesson. This is one of the few guilds with literate and interesting roleplays. Couldn't get me out of here with a 10ft stick. ;D
I enjoy Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Modern rps, although I do venture out of my comfort zone if there's a rp that's interesting. x3

Yeah, we can all relate to you. That's why the guild was made! biggrin Please feel free to create roleplays or request roleplays! We'll love to give you some nifty stories you can develop your characters in. Have fun!

jennyzinsane I'm still alive, and very interested in the Crimson Ibis! I would very much like if the roleplay thread that I'm in, "Love and Hate" could return to the main page, since it is at the top of the Dead Threads list, and we participate in it as much as humanly possible with three people that never seem to be online at the same time, hehe.
I like roleplays based on campus settings, in bars, and with multiple races. It is fun to have conflicting or cross-breeding races, but too much conflict is not too good. I dislike threads based for only fighting and conflict, or threads that focus on degrading women in anyway at all...
