Location: The Onigashima Academy, The Hidden Shadow Village
Time: 10:00 AM
Test #1 - A Test of Wits
As you enter the large examination room inside the Academy you see many Genin from various Shinobi Countries already at their seats. One of the Hidden Shadow Jounin escorts you to a randomly picked seat and hands you a single sheet of paper.
After waiting for nearly an eternity of silence another Hidden Shadow appears in a **POOF** of smoke. Wearing an all black standard ninja outfit with a mask over his mouth nose he seems a-typical of a shinobi except he wears a short jacket with the hood drawn over his head.
"Alright listen up squirts! My name is Kaiser and I'm the instructor for the first test of the Chuunin Exams. The rules are simple, you have one hour to complete your test. Any cheating, talking, wandering eyes or incomplete tests will get your butts tossed out of the Exam. If you fail to answer the question correctly you fail the test and will be tossed out of the Exam. Not only that, but if you're removed from the Exam your entire SQUAD is removed from the Exams. Got it? Good. Start the damn test!"
After listening to his "empowering" speech you glance down at the test and find that it only has one question to it.
"If you are assigned to go on a field mission with a three man squad to infiltrate an enemy encampment. Something goes wrong in the middle of the mission and you are detected by the enemy and one of your squad members has been captured placing you in charge of the remaining squad. What orders, if any, would you give to your remaining team."

He twirled his pen between his fingers as he thought, he wasn't the planner of his squad, he was the destraction, the one that took a beating and kep going. Anguna was the master mind of the squad, he'd know the answer for sure, but if he got caught cheating he would be kicked out, but if he didn't get an answer he'd be kicked out. I've come to far to give up now, wait that's it!"He thought to himself as he wrote down his answer.

He finished his answer and leaned back in his seat waiting for the test to end.

((well I was just told that the answers go here so heres Tyson's answer))
Some would tell their squad that the best thing to do would be to complete the mission, others would say it was better to rescue their teammate. The ideal method would be to rescue the captured nin and complete the mission.
I don't know enough about the Hidden Shadow to even guess at what they would do.
Konoha would most likely arrange a detour to rescue their captured nin while still completing the mission.
I know I myself would advance slowly and caustiously to avoid getting caught before a rescue attempt could be made, but at the same time making sure the gap between myself and completeing the mission didn't widen.

Sorensuke lowered his head a bit as he read over the question. The type of mission wasn't in the question, so how vital the mission's completion was didn't seem a factor. As his mother and brother died as the result of Konoha failing to launch a rescue operation, Sorensuke wrote that he would lead his squad to the enemy, paying attention to possible traps. and recover the comrade.

It's like a game of go if you're opponent already knows where you plan on moving your stones and tries to cut off life you have to change your strategy at the last second. Out of all the possible responses to my opponents moves I think I would have to plan out the next 100 moves carefully since in this case ko isn't unlimited. First and foremost the mission is a ninja's top priority so we, and of course if they've already detected us so they will be expecting us to attempt a rescue attempt or to try again with our mission, which is why I'd purposedly fall into their trap by leading a seemingly obvious rescue attempt going solo by attacking the front of the encampment from a distance as to make sure they believe it was me and my other teammate attacking. If I can stall long enough to force them into ko my other teammate would go around to the rear, leaving explosive notes near weakpoints in the encampment and around the immediate are, which would be less guarded in this instance because of my supposedly suicidal attempt to rescue him outnumbered. After the teammate breaks in I would either force myself in the encampment through the distraction from the explosive notes or force them away from the encampment until my teammates escape. Making sure to not try to kill any off my opponents would leave a large number chasing me which would make them easier to track and my teammates could catch up to me soon enough by following the ninja's tracks it's too much of a hassle to expect me to think of anything else if they don't make it in time my only resort would be to fight until my last breath so I can at least ignore them enough so they'd be force to kill me instead of taking me captive. Akira began to write his answer the fact that his entire test rode on his answer choice made him uncomfortable, but once relating it to a game of go the pressure felt minimal.

"Time's up losers hand in your tests."
Kaiser waited impatiently for all the tests to be gathered up and looked them over. "Well I have to say this is by far the worst piles of crap I've ever had the displeasure of reading. None of you deserve to be Chuunin with these answers because in that situation you all would be absolutely wiped out. Hell half of you didn't even fill in the damn question!"
He slams the papers down on the table, "All of you..... .Fail"
"Kaiser, what the hell do you think you're doing..." A voice says from behind him. A man dressed in the exact same attire as your Instructor stands there with his hands crossed at the chest level.
"Oh...uhhh hey G.... what's up buddy? heh heh...." Kaisers says extremely nerviously.
"You know what's funny... I could have sworn Izanami said that I was in charge of the First Exam and you were to help the other Jounin prep the Third Exam Arena." G says directly to Kaiser.
"Well... Ya see I was gonna do that. But you didn't show up to be the Instructor sooooo I decided to...help? Heh Heh.." Kaiser says while taking a few steps to the side of G, who keeps his eyes focused on the other man.
"Another funny thing, it seems someone set my clock back an hour. But I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to do that on purpose...would they Kaiser?" G the Inferno says taking a step closer to Kaiser.
"Yeah they'd have to be uhhh pretty *gulp* Dumb boss." Kaiser says still triyng to back away. "Well would you look at the time I need to go uhhh finish cleaning up the Arena see ya."
"Kaiser you DUMBASS!!!" G the Inferno snaps his finger and there is a bright flash of flames and a rumble like an explosion. Kaiser goes through through the roof and off into the distance in a comedic fashion.
"Alright Genin, I'm G the Inferno and I'm supposed to be your first instructor. HOWEVER thanks to Kaiser being an idiot he's given you guys the first page of the test you were supposed to take which means I have to pass you all. Your team leaders will escort you to the next phase of the Exam. Dismissed."
((Congrats all you passed the First Exam! This test was more or less a gage to see how quickly you guys would respond to the starting of the Exams and post and stuff. Now that everyone is aware of the Exams and hopefully will be more motivated to become active in it we can actually start it for real ^.^. Head on over to the Exam #2. Also for anyone not in the Exams that are reading this, if you are a Genin that was not participating in the Exams during this test but want too feel free to join up in the Second Exam. ))
