OMG in thinking of nostalgic toys, I flashed back to the days of playing with Barbies and the like -- and remembered the SUNSHINE FAMILY -- does anyone remember them?

Hmm did a little research here and am dating myself, but here is info on them:

About Sunshine Family Dolls: The Sunshine Family were produced in the mid 1970s--a difficult period for children's dolls because production of nearly all play dolls had recently shifted en masse to Asia, and many dolls suffered from low quality due to the manufacturers' quests for lower and lower prices. Although the Sunshine Family dolls and accessories did not have the highest quality, they were charming and entertained many late Baby Boomer and Gen-X children for hours. The dolls were heavily promoted on TV.
Years of Production of the Sunshine Family: The Sunshine Family was in production from 1974 through 1978.

no one has replied to this for a long time, but I will.....I Loved The Sunshine Family!!!!!! They were like hippie Barbie dolls, I had a camp set for them and mine lived in the tent cause they were hippies, while Barbie got to live in her motor home.

I know this hasn't been posted in in awhile, but it was at the top and I love the Sunshine Family. In fact, I've been trying to get a mint condition set on eBay! I had the whole family and their house, I may of even had their tent set, or that could have been my niece (she is only a year younger than me). Anyway, they were great, I even had a later set that had a baby in it, the first one had a little girl about 2 years old. I don't think I had the grandparents though. Who knows, I was spoiled, I probably did. biggrin
